합천군, 전국 파크골프 메카로 도약

[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 제1회 합천군수배 전국파크골프대회가 25일 합천파크골프장에서 열렸다.

이번 대회는 전국에서 1,100여 명의 선수들이 참가하는 대규모 대회로 예선은 25~26일, 9월 1~2일 두 차례에 걸쳐 진행되고 본선은 9월 15~16일 양일간 열린다.

이날 개회식에는 김윤철 군수, 정봉훈 군의회의장, 장진영 도의원, 유달형 체육회장과 강상열 합천군파크골프협회장, 김태환 경남파크골프협회장, 전국 시·군 파크골프협회장을 비롯한 내외 귀빈들이 참석해 대회의 의미를 더했다.

김윤철 군수는 “오늘 전국의 파크골프 열풍을 다시금 확인할 수 있어 벅차다”며, “앞으로도 전국 규모 체육대회를 지속적으로 유치해 합천을 스포츠와 관광이 조화를 이루는 도시로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.

합천군은 현재 경남도 내 최다인 총 252홀 규모의 파크골프장을 보유하고 있으며 특히 이번 대회가 열리는 합천파크골프장은 2024년 공인 인증을 완료하고 전국대회를 여러 차례 유치할 만큼 우수한 시설과 경기 환경을 갖추고 있어 ‘파크골프 메카’로의 성장이 더욱 기대된다.
