경기도의회 여성가족평생교육위원회 문형근 위원장(더불어민주당, 안양3)이 지난 8월 23일 안양시청 강당에서 열린 ‘경기남부자율방범연합회 발대식’에 참석해 축사를 했다.
문형근 위원장은 축사에서 “자율방범대는 도민의 생활 속에서 가장 가까운 안전 지킴이로서 든든한 울타리 역할을 해왔다”며, “연합회 출범은 방범 활동의 체계화를 이끌고 도민 안전을 책임지는 중요한 계기”라고 의미를 부여했다.

이번 발대식에는 이상호 ‘경기남부자율방범연합회’ 회장을 비롯한 임원진, 고영인 경기도 경제부지사, 강득구 국회의원, 이채명 경기도의원 등 주요 내빈과 방범대원, 시민 등 300여 명이 함께해 연합회의 출범을 축하했다.

경기남부자율방범연합회는 지역 치안 보완과 생활 안전 강화를 목적으로 범죄예방 순찰, 청소년 선도, 취약계층 보호, 야간 방범활동 등을 수행하는 주민 자율조직이다. 그동안 지역별로 활동해온 자율방범대가 이번 연합회 출범을 계기로 하나로 결집하면서, 경기남부권 안전망이 한층 강화될 것으로 기대된다.
