계양구, 2026학년도 계양영재교육원 신입생 모집

(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 계양구가 오는 9월 22일부터 26일까지 경인교육대학교와 함께 미래 사회를 이끌 창의적 인재 양성을 위해  ‘2026학년도 계양영재교육원’ 신입생을 모집한다고 밝혔다.

계양구에 따르면, 2011년부터 운영된 계양영재교육원은 계양구가 지역 내 경인교육대학교와 협력해 과학·수학 분야에 재능 있는 학생을 조기에 발굴하고 잠재력을 키울 수 있도록 지원하는 핵심 교육 사업이다.

2026년 모집 대상은 계양구 관내 초등학교 4~6학년과 중학교 1학년 학생이며, 기존 승급 인원을 제외하고 총 60명(초등 30명, 중등 30명)을 신규 선발한다. 

선발된 학생들은 경인교육대학교의 우수한 교수진과 교육 시설을 기반으로 원격 교육, 주말 교육, 탐방형 집중 교육 등 창의력과 탐구 역량을 강화하는 맞춤형 프로그램에 참여한다.

윤환 구청장은 “계양영재교육원은 단순한 교육 프로그램이 아니라, 아이들이 자신의 재능을 발견하고 미래 사회를 선도하는 인재로 성장할 수 있는 도전의 장”이라며, “올해도 많은 학생들이 지원해 마음껏 역량을 펼치고, 계양구와 대한민국을 이끌 주역으로 성장하길 기대한다.”고 밝혔다.
