성복임 경기도의원, “고령자 택시비 지원, 실질적 교통복지 위해 필요”

경기도의회 건설교통위원회 성복임 의원(더불어민주당, 군포4)이 지난 8월 28일 군포시청에서 ‘경기도 바우처택시 대상자 확대 정담회’를 개최, “고령층의 교통복지는 버스비 지원만으로는 부족하다”며 “병원·복지관 이동에 꼭 필요한 택시비 지원을 제도에 포함해야 한다”고 밝혔다.

이날 정담회에는 경기도청, 경기교통공사, 군포시청 관계자들이 참석해 바우처택시와 어르신 교통비 지원사업 현황을 공유하고 개선 방향을 논의했다.

성복임 의원은 “85세 이상 어르신에게 버스를 이용하라는 건 현실과 동떨어져 있다”며, “현장 목소리는 ‘버스비 지원은 그림의 떡이고 실제 필요한 건 택시비’”라고 전했다.

경기도청 윤태완 광역교통정책과장은 “택시비 지원 필요성에는 공감하지만, 법적 범위와 사회적 합의가 뒷받침돼야 한다”고 설명했다. 군포시청 유승연 교통행정과장도 “고령화 사회에 맞는 교통복지 전환 없이는 현 제도의 실효성을 담보하기 어렵다”며 제도 개선 필요성을 강조했다.
