부천시, ‘지속가능발전 시민대학’ 개강

(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 지난 1일 부천시청 소통마당에서 ‘2025년 제1회 지속가능발전교육’과 부천시 지속가능발전 시민대학 개강식을 열고, 시민과 공무원 100여 명이 함께하는 민관 합동 교육을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

부천시에 따르면, 이날 행사에는 조용익 부천시장, 허원배 부천시지속가능발전협의회 대표회장, 황덕형 서울신학대학교 총장 등 주요 내빈이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.

이번 교육은 부천시 최초로 시민과 공무원이 함께 참여한 민관 합동 프로그램으로, 시민대학 수강생과 지속가능발전지표 담당자 등 총 100여 명이 함께해 의미를 더했다.

올해로 3회째를 맞은 시민대학은 서울신학대학교와 부천시 지속가능발전협의회가 공동 운영하며, 11월까지 3개월 동안 총 16회에 걸쳐 다양한 프로그램을 진행한다. 

강의는 기후, 에너지, 환경, 사회 불평등, 시민참여 등 폭넓은 주제로 구성됐으며, 시민의 지속 가능한 삶 실천 역량을 높이고 행정 정책의 지속가능성을 강화하는 데 목적이 있다.

첫 강연은 이정모 펭귄각종과학관 관장이 ‘지속가능한 미래, 과학이 들려주는 생존 공식’을 주제로 진행했으며, 과학적 시각에서 기후 위기를 진단하고 지속 가능한 도시의 비전을 제시해 큰 호응을 얻었다.
