4일 열린 예산정책협의회에서 시와 지역 국회의원들은 해양수산부(해수부)와 해양공공기관의 통합 이전, HMM 본사 유치 등 부산의 미래를 좌우할 핵심 과제들을 논의하며 공동 대응을 약속했다.

부산의 미래를 위한 항해의 닻이 올랐다. 부산시와 국민의힘 부산시당이 손을 맞잡고 '글로벌 해양허브도시' 도약을 위한 청사진을 그렸다.
4일 오전 서울 여의도에서 열린 '부산시-국민의힘 부산시당과의 예산정책협의회'는 박형준 시장과 정동만 시당위원장을 비롯한 지역 국회의원 전원이 참석해 부산의 미래를 위한 전략적 협력의 장이 되었다. 이 자리는 새 지도부 출범 이후 처음 마련된 것으로, 시와 정치권이 '부산 원팀'으로 뭉쳐 국비 확보와 지역 현안 해결에 힘을 모으기로 뜻을 같이했다.
미래를 위한 전략적 예산 확보
정부 예산안 확정 이후, 이번 회의는 정부안에 미반영된 사업들을 국회 심의 단계에서 반영시키기 위한 전략 마련에 집중했다. 특히 다대 복합해양레저관광도시, 사직야구장 재건축, 스마트항만 모빌리티 허브 등 14개 국비 사업과 정관선 건설, 가덕신공항 철도 연결선 등 4개 예비타당성 조사 사업의 대응 방안을 심도 있게 논의했다.
또한 부산형 급행철도(BuTX)와 글로컬대학 지정, 분산에너지 특화지역 조성 등 주요 정부 공모사업의 성과를 창출하기 위한 방안도 함께 점검하며 시너지 효과를 모색했다.
부산의 미래를 좌우할 핵심 현안
회의에서는 ▲해수부 및 해양공공기관 통합 이전 ▲해사법원 설립 ▲에이치엠엠(HMM) 등 물류대기업 본사 부산 이전 ▲북극항로 선도도시 조성 ▲부산 오페라하우스 건립 ▲해운대 53사단 이전 ▲한미관세 피해산업 지원 강화 등 핵심 현안 13대 과제를 공유하고, 실효적 성과를 위해 공동 대응하기로 했다.
박형준 시장은 "부산의 미래는 우리 스스로 만들어가는 것"이라며, "해수부 통합 이전, HMM 본사 유치, 부산글로벌허브도시 특별법 통과 등을 위해 시와 지역 정치권이 '골든타임'을 놓치지 않고 힘을 모아야 할 때"라고 강조했다.

이에 정동만 국민의힘 부산시당위원장도 "정권 교체 이후 더 전략적이고 치밀하게 움직여야 할 시점"이라며, "부산의 미래를 좌우할 현안 해결에 부산시와 국회의원들이 '원팀'으로 힘을 합쳐 반드시 성과를 이끌어내겠다"고 화답했다.
부산시는 국회 예산 심의 과정에 적극 대응하기 위해 행정부시장을 단장으로 하는 '국비확보 추진단'을 가동하며, 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 성과를 내기 위해 모든 역량을 집중할 계획이다.

The anchor has been raised for a new voyage toward Busan's future. Busan City and the Busan branch of the People Power Party have joined hands to chart a course for becoming a "Global Maritime Hub City."
The "Busan City-People Power Party Budget Policy Consultation Meeting" held in Yeouido, Seoul on the morning of the 4th, was attended by Mayor Park Hyung-joon, Party Chairman Jeong Dong-man, and all local National Assembly members. The meeting served as a forum for strategic cooperation for Busan's future. This was the first meeting since the new leadership took office, and all attendees agreed to unite as a 'Busan One Team' to secure national funding and resolve pressing local issues.
Strategic Budgeting for the Future
With the government budget plan finalized on August 30th, reflecting major projects like the construction of Gadeokdo New Airport, the focus of this meeting was on developing strategies to get unapproved projects included during the National Assembly's review process.
In-depth discussions were held on securing national funding for 14 projects, including the Dadae Complex Marine Leisure Tourism City, the reconstruction of Sajik Baseball Stadium, and the Smart Port Mobility Hub. They also discussed plans for four pre-feasibility study projects, such as the Jeonggwan Line construction and the Gadeok New Airport railway connection.
Additionally, they reviewed strategies to maximize the outcomes of major government-sponsored projects, including the Busan Express Railway (BuTX) and the designation of a Glocal University.
Key Issues to Determine Busan's Future
At the meeting, 13 key pending tasks were shared, including ▲integration and relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and maritime public institutions ▲establishment of a maritime court ▲relocation of the headquarters of major logistics companies such as HMM to Busan ▲creation of a leading city for the Arctic route ▲construction of the Busan Opera House ▲relocation of the 53rd Division to Haeundae ▲strengthening support for industries affected by Korea-US tariffs, and agreed to respond jointly for effective results.
Mayor Park Heong-joon emphasized, "Busan's future is in our own hands. This is the 'golden time' for the city and local politicians to unite and lead efforts to attract HMM headquarters and pass the Busan Global Hub City Special Act."
Chairman Jeong Dong-man of the People Power Party's Busan branch echoed this sentiment, stating, "Now is the time to be more strategic and meticulous. The Busan City government and lawmakers will work as a 'One Team' to achieve results in key issues that will determine Busan's future, such as the relocation of the MOF and the redevelopment of the North Port."
Busan City plans to activate a 'National Budget Task Force' led by the Administrative Vice Mayor to actively engage with the National Assembly's budget and standing committees, focusing all efforts on generating tangible results for the citizens.
