【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청(교육감 강은희)은 대진고등학교 다목적강당 건립 공사를 완료했다고 4일 밝혔다.
이번 시설은 수업시간 외에 지역주민 생활체육 공간으로도 활용돼 주민 복지 향상에도 기여할 전망이다.
총 42억 원이 투입된 이번 공사는 교육부 특별교부금과 대구시·달서구청 대응투자비를 포함해 지난해 9월 착공, 11개월간의 공사를 거쳐 연면적 934㎡ 규모로 완공됐다. 1층은 주차장, 2층은 체육관과 강당으로 구성되어 있다.
대진고등학교는 2007년 개교 이후 교내 체육관이 없어 각종 체육활동과 입학식, 졸업식, 학교 축제 등 주요 행사를 인근 대진중학교 다목적강당을 함께 사용해왔다. 그로 인해 체육수업 시간 조정과 행사 일정 협의에 불편이 이어졌다.
이번 강당 준공으로 학생들은 날씨와 미세먼지 등 기상조건에 상관없이 안정적으로 체육활동을 할 수 있으며, 기존 시설 공동사용으로 인한 불편도 해소된다.
강은희 교육감은 “다목적강당은 학교의 수업과 행사 등 다양한 용도로 필수적인 시설”이라며 “앞으로도 학교 시설 여건을 꾸준히 확충해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Superintendent Kang Eun-hee stated, "The multipurpose auditorium is an essential facility for various purposes, including school classes and events," adding, "We will continue to steadily expand our school facilities."
