【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청(교육감 임종식)은 올해 3월 개교한 ‘경북온라인학교’가 2학기에도 빠른 성장세를 이어가고 있다고 8일 밝혔다.
이번 학기에는 66개 강좌가 개설돼 651명의 학생이 참여했으며, 36개 학교가 온라인학교 수업에 참여한다.
정규 일과시간 내 운영 강좌가 43개, 온라인학교 자체 개설 강좌 48개, 타 학교 주문형 개설 강좌 18개 등으로 구성돼 학생들이 자신의 진로와 적성에 맞는 과목을 선택할 수 있도록 했다. 이를 통해 소규모학교 학생들도 물리적 한계를 넘어 맞춤형 학습의 기회를 누릴 수 있다.
경북온라인학교는 남산초 삼성분교장의 폐교 시설을 활용해 구축되었으며, 지역 간 교육 격차 해소와 고교학점제 대비를 위해 개방형 교육 체제로 운영된다.
울릉고 등 도서·벽지 학교 학생들도 온라인을 통해 다양한 과목을 수강하며, 물리적 위치로 인한 교육 기회의 제약을 실질적으로 해소하고 있다.
또한 경북교육청은 온라인학교 운영과 IB 수업탐구학교를 연계해 서·논술형 및 수행평가 중심의 평가 혁신을 추진하고 있다. 교사들은 탐구·성찰 중심의 평가 방식을 연구·적용하며, 자체 IB 이해 연수와 평가 연수를 통해 전문성을 강화하고 있다.
임종식 교육감은 “경북온라인학교는 단순한 원격 수업을 넘어 학생 한 명, 한 명의 꿈을 실현할 수 있는 미래형 교육 모델로 발전하고 있다”며, “앞으로도 학생 맞춤형 학습과 교원 역량 강화를 통해 미래 교육의 모범 사례를 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.
