이재명 대통령이 11일 "주식시장은 심리로 움직이는데 만약 새 정부 경제정책 핵심인 주식시장 활성화에 장애를 받게 할 정도라면 굳이 (10억원) 고집할 필요는 없겠다고 생각한다"고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 청와대 영빈관에서 열린 취임 100일 기자회견에서 주식양도세 대주주 기준 관련해 "주식시장이 만약 그거 때문에 실제 장애를 받는다면 야당도 요구하고, 여당도 그냥 (50억) 놔두면 좋겠다는 의견"이라며 "메시지도 많이 오는 거로 봐선 반드시 50억을 10억으로 내려야겠다 생각 않는다"며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "세수결손 정도가 어느 정도냐 물어봤더니 2000억~3000억 정도라"며 "의견을 모아보는데 대체적으로 그냥 다 원래대로(50억) 놔두자는 의견인 것 같다"고 했다.
또 "이유는 알 수 없으나 이걸 주식시장 활성화 정책 의지를 의심하는 시험지 비슷하게 느끼는 것 같다"며 "그렇다면 굳이 그걸 끝까지 유지할 필요가 있을까 그런 생각을 하며 국회에 맡기도록 할 생각"이라고 했다.
이어 미 불법 입국·체류 자격 위반 등으로 체포된 미국내 한국 기업 노동자들 강제 추방에 따른 귀국 일정 관련해선 "가장 최신 정보론 한국시간으로 오후 3시 구금 시설에서 출발 예정"이라며 "비행기는 내일 새벽 1시쯤 이륙해 오후쯤 서울에 도착케 된다"고 전했다.
더불어 "우리 국민이 총 316명으로 남성 306명·여성 10명"이라며 "외국인 14명이 있어 총 330명으로 우리 국민 중 1 명은 가족이 영주권자란 이유로 미국에 남는 걸 선택했다고 했다.
