[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 국방 기술의 미래를 위한 의미 있는 협력이 시작되었다. 11일, 국립창원대학교와 육군종합정비창이 대학본부에서 '상호 R&D 협력 강화 및 미래 과학기술 협력 활성화'를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.
이번 협약은 급변하는 안보 환경에 대응하고 4차 산업혁명 시대의 기술 발전을 선도하기 위해 마련되었다. 박민원 국립창원대 총장과 강창호 정비창 창장 등 양 기관 관계자 40여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행된 이번 협약은 대학의 학문적 역량과 군의 실무 전문성을 결합하여 시너지를 창출하는 모범 사례가 될 것으로 기대를 모으고 있다.

박민원 국립창원대 총장은 “이번 협력을 통해 방위산업 분야의 R&D 공동 연구와 고급 인재 양성에 최선을 다할 것”이라며, "양 기관의 강점을 결합하여 국가와 지역사회 발전에 기여하는 다양한 성과를 만들어 내겠다"고 말했다.
