【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구가 오는 19일과 20일 동성로 관광특구 일원에서 과거와 현재를 잇는 특별한 축제를 연다.
‘2025 관광특구 활성화 지원사업’ 공모에 선정된 이번 행사는 전통문화와 현대적 감성을 아우르는 다채로운 프로그램으로 꾸려진다.
축제는 경상감영공원에서 진행되는 타종의식으로 시작된다. 양일 오후 3시부터 수문장 교대의식과 난타 공연이 이어지며, 오후 4시에는 관찰사와 순라군, 취타대, 기생 등 80여 명이 참여하는 ‘동성로 취타대 퍼레이드’가 펼쳐진다.
행렬단은 경상감영공원에서 출발해 동성로 28아트스퀘어와 구 중앙파출소까지 행진하며 시민들과 만난다. 동성로 28아트스퀘어에서는 전통 무예 공연과 마당극이 무대에 오른다.
관광특구 지정 1주년을 기념하는 메인 행사 ‘제1회 동성로 타임워프 페스타’는 양일 오후 2시부터 8시까지 열리며 세대를 아우르는 무대를 선보인다.
19일 개막식에는 시간여행 퍼포먼스와 함께 가수 소찬휘의 공연, 유튜버 정선호·박근미의 세대공감 토크콘서트가 진행된다.
20일에는 ‘동토즐(동성로! 토요일은 즐거워!)’ 경연대회가 열리고, 가수 조성모가 피날레 무대를 장식한다.
부대 프로그램도 풍성하다. ‘타임캡슐 시네마’와 ‘동성로 패션위크’, 인기 유튜버와 함께하는 ‘세대 초월 랜덤플레이댄스’ 등 참여형 무대가 마련된다. 먹거리장터, 추억의 백화점, 반짝시장, 버스킹 공연, 스티커사진과 레트로 오락실 등 체험 공간도 곳곳에 들어선다. 외국인을 위한 Y2K 스타일 헤어·뷰티 체험존도 운영된다.
야간 프로그램 역시 눈길을 끈다. 19일 저녁 28아트스퀘어에서는 DJ 공연과 래퍼 허성현의 무대가 함께하는 ‘DJ 파티 in 동성로x로데오’가 열리고, 구 제일은행 앞과 CGV대구한일 앞에서는 노래 공연과 스트릿댄스가 진행된다.
류규하 중구청장은 “그 시절 우리가 사랑했던 동성로를 다시 만나는 축제로 준비했다”며 “전통과 현대가 공존하는 이번 행사가 동성로 관광특구의 매력을 국내외에 널리 알리고, 대표 축제로 자리잡기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

The main event, the "1st Dongseong-ro Time Warp Festa," commemorating the first anniversary of the special tourist zone, will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on both days, showcasing performances for all generations.
The opening ceremony on the 19th will feature a time travel performance, a performance by singer So Chan-whee, and a talk concert featuring YouTubers Jung Seon-ho and Park Geun-mi.
On the 20th, the "Dongtojul (Dongseong-ro! Saturdays are fun!)" contest will be held, with singer Jo Sung-mo performing the finale.

On the evening of the 19th, the "DJ Party in Dongseong-ro x Rodeo" will be held at 28 Arts Square, featuring DJ performances and a performance by rapper Heo Sung-hyun. Song performances and street dance will take place in front of the former Jeil Bank and CGV Daegu Hanil.
Jung-gu District Mayor Ryu Gyu-ha said, "We've prepared this festival to reconnect with the Dongseong-ro we loved back then. We hope this event, which blends tradition and modernity, will widely promote the charm of the Dongseong-ro Special Tourist Zone both domestically and internationally and establish itself as a representative festival."
