【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환) 평생교육원은 9월 16일 믿음관 203호 강의실에서 ‘2025 경북도민행복대학 명예석사과정 APEC 특강’을 진행했다. 이번 특강은 지난 강의에서 다룬 APEC 정상회의의 비전과 정책 방향 이해를 바탕으로 마련됐다.

강연은 금강대학교 김구철 교수가 ‘실력사회 대한민국 소멸 위기 극복–한국사에서 가장 과소 평가된 신라의 삼국통일’을 주제로 진행했다. 김 교수는 2025 APEC 정상회의 개최지를 앞두고 신라의 삼국통일 역사적 배경을 되짚으며, APEC 비전이 역사 속에서도 구현된 가치임을 강조했다.
전경국 평생교육원장은 “이번 특강을 통해 APEC 정상회의의 시대적 의미를 도민행복대학 학생들에게 알리고, 시사점을 함께 고민하고자 했다”고 말했다.
한편, 선린대학교는 2022년부터 경북도민행복대학 명예석사과정을 운영하고 있으며, 올해 제27기 ‘포항 여성 뉴리더 양성과정’을 개설해 여성 리더 양성을 통한 지역사회 발전에 기여할 계획이다.

Sunlin University Holds APEC Special Lecture for Gyeongbuk Provincial Happiness University Honorary Master's Program
Sunlin University (President Kwak Jin-hwan) Lifelong Education Center held the "2025 Gyeongbuk Provincial Happiness University Honorary Master's Program APEC Special Lecture" in Lecture Room 203 of the Faith Building on September 16th. This special lecture was designed based on the understanding of the vision and policy direction of the APEC Summit discussed in the previous lecture.
Professor Kim Gu-cheol of Geumgang University presented the lecture on the topic, "Overcoming the Crisis of Korea's Extinction in a Merit-Based Society: Silla's Unification of the Three Kingdoms: The Most Underrated in Korean History." Ahead of the 2025 APEC Summit, Professor Kim revisited the historical background of Silla's unification of the three kingdoms and emphasized that the APEC vision is a value embodied in history.
Director Jeon Gyeong-guk of the Lifelong Education Center stated, "Through this special lecture, we hoped to inform students at Sunlin University of the historical significance of the APEC Summit and to discuss its implications together."
Meanwhile, Seonrin University has been operating the Gyeongbuk Provincial Happiness University Honorary Master's Program since 2022, and plans to open the 27th 'Pohang Women's New Leader Training Course' this year to contribute to the development of the local community through the training of female leaders.
