【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청이 초등학교 5·6학년을 대상으로 한 서술형·논술형 과정 중심 평가 자료집을 12월 교실 현장에 미리 보급한다고 22일 밝혔다.
이번 자료집은 경상북도교육청연구원과 함께 2022 개정 교육과정에 맞춰 개발됐다. 단순 지식 암기보다 학생의 수행 과정과 사고 과정을 중시하는 현재 교육 흐름을 반영했으며, 교사가 수업과 평가를 유기적으로 연결할 수 있도록 구성됐다.
경북교육청은 이미 2024년 1~2학년 및 3학년 1학기 자료집을 개발·보급했으며, 올해 8월에는 3학년 2학기 자료집도 제공했다.
자료집을 활용한 한 초등 교사는 "평가 문항이 수업과 긴밀하게 연결돼 학생들의 사고 과정을 세밀하게 살펴볼 수 있었다"며 "서술형과 논술형 평가가 학생들의 표현력과 사고력 향상에 큰 도움이 된다"고 말했다.
임종식 교육감은 "서술형·논술형 과정 중심 평가는 학생 성장을 지원하는 핵심 수단"이라며 "이번 자료집 보급을 통해 교실 수업이 단순한 결과 측정을 넘어 학습 과정 자체를 존중하고, 학생 개개인의 미래 역량을 길러주는 방향으로 나아가도록 적극 지원하겠다"고 밝혔다.

An elementary school teacher who utilized the resource booklet stated, "The assessment questions were closely linked to the lessons, allowing me to closely examine students' thought processes. The descriptive and essay-based assessments are greatly helpful in improving students' expressive and critical thinking skills."
Superintendent Lim Jong-sik stated, “Descriptive and argumentative process-centered assessments are a key means of supporting student growth,” and added, “Through the distribution of this collection of materials, we will actively support classroom instruction to move beyond simple outcome measurement to respecting the learning process itself and fostering each student’s future capabilities.”
