울릉군, ‘마음-잇다’ 생명사랑 걷기 캠페인 성료

【브레이크뉴스 울릉】전종환 기자=울릉군정신건강복지센터는 경상북도 및 경북광역정신건강복지센터와 공동으로  8일 부터 24일 까지 진행한 '마음-잇다' 생명사랑 온라인 걷기 캠페인을 성황리에 마무리했다고 24일 밝혔다.

이번 캠페인은 세계 자살예방의 날(9월 10일)을 기념해 마련된 경상북도 자살예방 걷기 캠페인의 일환으로, 군민의 생명존중 의식을 높이고 자살예방에 대한 사회적 관심을 확산하기 위해 기획됐다.

특히, 사전 신청 단계에서 조기 마감될 정도로 높은 관심과 참여 열기를 보였으며, 총 100여 명의 군민이 참여해 자살예방 서약 및 캠페인 활동에 동참했다. 참여자들은 울릉군정신건강복지센터를 방문해 기념 티셔츠를 수령하고, 자살 예방 서약을 통해 생명사랑 실천의지를 다졌다.

캠페인의 핵심 프로그램인 78,100보 걷기는 2023년 경북지역 자살 사망자 수인 781명을 기억하며, 한 걸음 한 걸음에 생명존중의 가치를 되새기자는 의미를 담았다. 참여자들은 걷기 외에도 자살예방상담전화(109) 찾기, 인증사진 촬영 등 다양한 활동에 참여하며 일상 속 생명사랑을 실천했다.

남한권 울릉군수는 “군민 한 분 한 분의 작은 걸음이 모여 큰 희망의 발걸음이 됐다”며,
“이번 캠페인은 생명의 소중함을 다시 한 번 깨닫는 계기가 되었고, 앞으로도 경상북도와 협력해 생명존중 문화 확산과 군민 정신건강 증진을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

울릉군은 앞으로도 생명사랑, 자살예방을 위한 다양한 프로그램을 통해 건강하고 안전한 지역사회 조성을 이어갈 방침이다.
