【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구는 대구중구자원봉사센터가 대구시 구·군 자원봉사센터 평가에서 최우수상을 받았다고 24일 밝혔다.
중구청은 자원봉사 인프라 구축과 활성화를 위해 꾸준히 노력해 온 결과, 중구자원봉사센터가 대구시 1위를 기록하며 2019년부터 2025년까지 7년 연속 최우수 또는 우수상을 수상하는 성과를 거뒀다.
올해 평가에서 중구자원봉사센터는 2024년도 인구수 10% 대비 실인원 비율이 134.3%로 다른 구·군에 비해 높은 참여율을 보였다.
동 단위 거점인 '커뮤니티 키친'을 통해 자원봉사와 기부를 연계한 '냉장고가 필요해' 사업이 우수사례로 선정됐다.
이 사업에는 지난해 총 1195명의 자원봉사자가 참여해 조리·포장·식생활 교육·식품 배달·텃밭 운영 등 활동을 펼쳤으며, 총 1346명의 주민이 혜택을 받았다.
류규하 중구청장은 "중구의 자원봉사자들은 모두 생업에 종사하며 시간적 여유가 많지 않음에도 불구하고 이웃사랑을 앞장서서 실천해 주셨다"고 말했다.
이어 "앞으로도 자원봉사가 단순한 나눔을 넘어 지역문제를 해결하는 지속 가능한 힘으로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다"고 덧붙였다.
