【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단 서변숲도서관이 유아와 보호자를 위한 특별한 그림책 작가 강연을 개최한다고 24일 밝혔다.
'김슬기 작가와의 만남'은 오는 10월 19일 서변숲도서관 3층 지혜숲에서 열리며, 6·7세 유아 자녀와 보호자 등 20팀을 대상으로 한다.
김슬기 작가는 '모모와 토토' 그림책으로 2019년 볼로냐 국제 아동도서전에서 '올해의 일러스트레이터'에 선정됐다. 나미콩쿠르 특별상과 앤서니 브라운 그림책 공모전 대상을 수상한 바 있다.
주요 작품으로는 '모모와 토토' 시리즈, '어떻게 먹을까?', '뭐 하고 놀까?', '촉촉한 여름 숲길을 걸어요' 등이 있다.
이날 강연에서는 그림책 '모모와 토토 하트 하트'를 바탕으로 김슬기 작가가 직접 1인 테이블 인형극을 선보인다. 유아들이 그림책을 새로운 방식으로 접해보는 기회를 갖게 된다.
이어서 작가의 그림책 작업 아이디어와 제작 과정, 작업실 이야기를 들려준다. 8월에 발간된 '모모와 토토 생일 파티'를 함께 읽고 작가 사인회도 진행할 예정이다.
서변숲도서관 관계자는 "강연을 통해 어린이들의 눈과 귀가 즐거운 시간, 친구의 마음을 존중하는 법을 배우는 뜻깊은 시간이 될 것"이라고 말했다.

The Seobyeon Forest Library of the Happy Bukgu Cultural Foundation announced on the 24th that it will host a special lecture by a picture book author for children and their guardians.
"Meeting with Author Kim Seul-gi" will be held on October 19th at the Wisdom Forest on the third floor of the Seobyeon Forest Library, and is open to 20 groups of children aged 6 and 7 and their guardians.
Kim Seul-gi was selected as "Illustrator of the Year" at the 2019 Bologna International Children's Book Fair for her picture book "Momo and Toto." She has also won a Special Prize at the Nami Concours and the Grand Prize at the Anthony Brown Picture Book Contest.
Notable works include the "Momo and Toto" series, "How Shall We Eat?", "What Shall We Play?", and "Walking Through the Humid Summer Forest."
During the lecture, author Kim Seul-gi will present a one-person table puppet show based on her picture book "Momo and Toto Heart Heart." Children will have the opportunity to experience picture books in a new way.
Following this, the author will share her ideas for creating picture books, the creative process, and stories from her studio. A reading of "Momo and Toto's Birthday Party," published in August, will also be held, along with a signing event.
A representative from the Seobyeon Forest Library stated, "The lecture will be a delight for children's eyes and ears, and a meaningful opportunity to learn how to respect the hearts of their friends."
