【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구청(구청장 류규하)은 추석 명절을 앞두고 아이엠뱅크(구 대구은행) 중구청 지점에서 ‘추석 맞이 온누리상품권 구매 행사’를 개최했다고 24일 밝혔다.
침체된 전통시장 활성화를 위해 마련된 이번 행사에는 전통시장 상인회장을 비롯해 각급 협의단체장, 구의원 등이 함께해 지역 상권 살리기에 동참했다.
중구청 직원과 주민들도 전통시장 장보기에 나선다. 오는 29일부터 10월 1일까지 사흘간 관내 전통시장을 찾아 제수용품과 생활물품을 구매하며 지역경제에 활기를 불어넣을 예정이다.
구청은 이번 행사가 단순한 명절 행사에 그치지 않고 지역 상권에 대한 지속적인 관심으로 이어지기를 기대하고 있다. 중구는 앞으로도 전통시장 활성화를 위한 다양한 지원책을 추진할 계획이다.
류규하 중구청장은 “추석 명절에는 온누리상품권을 활용한 따뜻한 소비로 지역경제에 힘을 보태 주시길 바란다”며 주민들의 적극적인 참여를 당부했다.
