[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 재취업에 어려움을 겪는 신중년 세대(50세 이상 64세 이하)의 고용 장려와 도내 중소·중견기업의 구인난 해결을 위해 ‘신중년 내일이음 50+사업’을 추진하고 있다.
‘신중년 내일이음 50+사업’은 신중년 구직자를 채용하는 도내 기업에 1인당 250만 원의 고용장려금을 최대 2명까지 지원한다.
올해부터는 지원 인원을 160명으로 늘리고, 지원 업종도 제조업에서 전 직종으로 확대해 수혜기업이 증가할 것으로 기대된다.
지원 대상은 2025년 1월 1일 이후 도내 신중년(50~64세) 근로자를 정규직으로 신규 채용한 5인 이상 중소·중견기업으로, 사업이 진행 중인 9개 시군(창원, 진주, 통영, 사천, 김해, 거제, 함안, 하동, 산청)에 소재해야 한다.

올해로 추진 6년 차에 접어든 이 사업은 지난해 ‘경남행복내일센터’에서 추진해 기업 70개 사에 고용장려금을 지급, 85명의 신규 고용 성과를 냈다.

Gyeongnam Province is promoting the "New Middle-aged Tomorrow 50+ Project" to encourage employment of middle-aged and older workers (ages 50 to 64) who are facing difficulties finding new jobs and to address the recruitment shortage at small and medium-sized businesses in the province.
The "New Middle-aged Tomorrow 50+ Project" provides employment incentives of KRW 2.5 million per person, up to two people, to companies hiring middle-aged and older job seekers.
Starting this year, the number of eligible applicants will be increased to 160, and the scope of eligible industries will be expanded from manufacturing to all occupations, which is expected to increase the number of beneficiaries.
Eligible applicants are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with five or more employees who have newly hired middle-aged workers (aged 50-64) as full-time employees within the province after January 1, 2025.
