【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청은 '2025 전국 장애학생 직업기능 경진대회'에 경북 대표 학생들이 출전한다고 밝혔다.
대회는 30일부터 10월 1일까지 부산항국제전시컨벤션센터에서 개최된다. 단순한 기술 경연을 넘어 전국 시도 대표 선수들의 교류와 화합의 장이 될 것으로 기대된다.
올해 경북 대표단은 총 18명으로 학생 5명과 지도교사·인솔자 8명, 관리자와 도 교육청 관계자 5명으로 꾸려졌다.
학생들은 지체 장애 분과의 한지공예, 로보트론 조립, 사무 행정, 사무용품조립 등 5개 종목에 출전한다.
이들은 지난 6월 구미혜당학교에서 열린 도내 선발전을 통해 최종 대표로 뽑혔다.
대회 첫날인 30일은 등록과 개막식, 내빈 연찬회가 진행되고, 10월 1일에는 본격적인 종목별 경진대회가 열린다.
임종식 교육감은 "이번 대회는 장애 학생들이 자신의 가능성을 확인하고 미래를 향해 도전하는 소중한 기회"라며 "학생들이 최선을 다해 준비한 만큼 좋은 결실을 맺기를 바라며, 앞으로도 장애 학생 직업교육과 자립을 적극 지원하겠다"고 말했다.

The Gyeongbuk Office of Education announced that students representing Gyeongbuk will participate in the "2025 National Vocational Skills Competition for Students with Disabilities."

Superintendent Lim Jong-sik said, "This competition is a valuable opportunity for students with disabilities to confirm their potential and challenge themselves for the future."
