【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 청소년들이 팔공산에서 자연을 배경으로 한 도전과 협력의 탐험활동을 펼쳤다.
대구행복진흥사회서비스원 청소년활동진흥센터는 지난 27일부터 28일까지 청소년포상제에 참여하는 지역 청소년 23명과 지도자 등 30명이 함께한 ‘제2차 연합 탐험활동’을 진행했다고 밝혔다.
청소년포상제는 봉사, 자기개발, 진로개발, 신체단련, 탐험활동 등 5개 영역에서 청소년이 스스로 목표를 세우고 실천하는 자기도전 성장 프로그램이다. 이 가운데 탐험활동은 5시간 이상 야외활동과 텐트 숙영, 야외 조리 등을 통해 협력심과 생활기술을 기르는 과정으로 구성된다.
참가자들은 팔공산국립공원 서부사무소에서 캠핑 교육을 받고 향 막대 만들기를 체험했으며, 비 오는 날씨에도 가산산성 트레킹을 끝까지 완주했다. 한 청소년은 “비가 와서 힘들었지만 친구들과 함께하니 끝까지 해낼 수 있었다”며 “앞으로도 포기하지 않고 도전할 자신감이 생겼다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
배기철 이사장은 “자연에서의 도전과 성취가 청소년들의 삶에 큰 자산이 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 다양한 탐험과 성장 기회를 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

The Daegu Happiness Promotion and Social Service Center's Youth Activity Promotion Center announced that it held the "2nd Joint Exploration Activity" from the 27th to the 28th, with 23 local youth participating in the Youth Award Program and 30 leaders.
The Youth Award Program is a self-challenge and growth program where youth set and achieve goals in five areas: volunteer work, self-development, career development, physical training, and exploration. The exploration activity involves outdoor activities lasting at least five hours, tent camping, and outdoor cooking, fostering teamwork and life skills.
The participants received camping training at the Palgongsan National Park West Office, experienced incense stick making, and completed the Gasan Mountain Fortress trek despite rainy weather. One youth commented, "The rain was challenging, but I was able to complete it because I was with my friends. It gave me the confidence to not give up and to continue taking on new challenges."
Chairman Bae Ki-cheol said, “Challenges and achievements in nature will be a great asset in the lives of young people,” and added, “We will continue to support various exploration and growth opportunities.”
