[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 제36회 합천군민의 날 기념식이 2일 합천체육관에서 군민 화합과 자긍심을 다지는 뜻깊은 행사로 개최됐다.

이날 행사에는 기관·사회단체장, 재외향우, 수해복구 유공자 등 400여명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈으며, 박완수 경남도지사와 신성범 국회의원, 자매결연 도시인 정명근 화성특례시장, 김영욱 부산진구청장, 천영기 통영시장, 최훈식 장수군수가 영상 메시지를 통해 합천군민에게 축하 인사를 전했다.

올해 기념식은 7월 집중호우 피해 복구와 이재민 지원에 행정력을 집중하기 위해 대야문화제와 군민체육대회를 취소한 대신, 별도의 날을 정해 필수 시상 위주로 축소 진행했다.

‘합천을 새롭게! 군민을 빛나게!’를 슬로건으로 한 이번 행사는 풍물공연을 시작으로 군민의 날 기념영상 상영, 군민의 장 시상, 명예군민증 수여, 수해복구 유공 표창, 기념사와 축사, 기념촬영 순으로 이어졌다.

군정 발전과 지역사회에 헌신한 공로로 ▲산업·경제 부문 김진석 합천새남부농협 조합장 ▲교육·문화·체육 부문 이영진 한국미술협회 합천지부장 ▲공익·애향 부문 박총제 대광기업 대표가 ‘합천군민의 장’을 수상했다.

또한 산불 진화에 기여한 이응범 산불헬기 기장이 명예군민으로 선정돼 군민증서를 받았다. 이어 집중호우 피해 복구에 헌신한 기관 3곳과 개인 49명에게 유공 표창이 수여됐다.
