【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=달성문화재단이 주관하는 '2025 달성 대구현대미술제'가 지난 9월 13일부터 10월 12일까지 30일간 열려 성황리에 끝났다.
14회를 맞은 이번 미술제는 '난장난장난장'을 주제로 환경 문제와 자국 우선주의 등 다양한 사회 현상을 예술적 다다이즘으로 표현했다. 관람객과 소통하고 함께 즐기는 놀이의 장으로 펼쳐졌다.
강효연 예술감독과 이정주, 강형주 큐레이터, 신명준 설치팀장이 기획을 맡았다. 국내 17팀 18명의 작가가 참여해 조각, 설치, 사진 등 21점을 선보였다.
낙동강과 금호강이 만나는 강정보 수변 공간을 배경으로 펼쳐진 야외 전시는 예술과 자연이 어우러진 독특하고 입체적인 감동을 줬다는 평가다.
디아크문화관 내부에서는 '달천예술창작공간 제5기 입주작가 특별전'과 역대 입주작가 교류전 '물결의 연대기'가 함께 열려 현대미술의 다양함을 보여줬다.
달성군의 대구시 편입 30년을 기념한 '미래 달성, 그림 그리기 공모전' 수상작 100여 점을 조형물로 만들어 야외에서 선보인 특별전도 큰 관심을 받았다.
전시 기간 중에는 구지은, 원선금, Studio 1750 작가가 참여한 '시민참여 프로그램'과 버스킹 공연 '온달성_멜로디on 예술과 음악이 있는 강정' 등이 열렸다. 관람객들이 현대미술을 더 친근하게 즐길 수 있었다.
올해는 달성군에서 처음 선보인 야외도서관 '틈'과 디아크문화관에서 연 '2025 디아크 강빛야행' 행사가 연계돼 전시의 풍성함과 지역문화의 확장성을 더했다.
최재훈 이사장은 "달성 대구현대미술제는 지역의 역사와 미래를 예술로 연결하고, 군민들의 문화적 자부심을 높이는 소중한 축제"라며 "앞으로도 달성군의 문화예술 거점으로서 역할을 키우고 현대미술의 다양함과 생동감을 꾸준히 선보일 수 있도록 적극 돕겠다"고 밝혔다.

The "2025 Dalseong Daegu Contemporary Art Festival," hosted by the Dalseong Cultural Foundation, successfully concluded after 30 days from September 13th to October 12th.
The 14th annual festival, themed "Nanjangnanjangnanjang," explored diverse social phenomena, including environmental issues and nationalism, through artistic Dadaism. The festival was designed as a platform for interaction and shared enjoyment for visitors.

Inside the ARC Cultural Center, the "Dalcheon Art Creation Space 5th Resident Artist Special Exhibition" and the "Chronicle of Waves," a collaborative exhibition of past resident artists, were held simultaneously, showcasing the diversity of contemporary art.
A special exhibition commemorating the 30th anniversary of Dalseong County's incorporation into Daegu City, featuring over 100 award-winning works from the "Future Dalseong, Painting Contest," presented outdoors, also garnered significant attention.
During the exhibition, the "Citizen Participation Program," featuring artists Gu Ji-eun, Won Seon-geum, and Studio 1750, and the busking performance "Ondalseong_Melody on Gangjeong: Art and Music," were also held. Visitors were able to enjoy contemporary art in a more intimate way.
This year, the ARC Cultural Center's "2025 ARC River Night Walk," a first for Dalseong County, was linked to the "Gap," an outdoor library, further enriching the exhibition and expanding the scope of local culture.
Chairman Choi Jae-hoon said, "The Dalseong Daegu Contemporary Art Festival is a valuable festival that connects the region's history and future through art and enhances the cultural pride of the county's residents." He added, "We will continue to actively support Dalseong County so that it can continue to grow its role as a cultural and artistic hub and showcase the diversity and vitality of contemporary art."
