[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 경남 합천군이 14일 공군호텔에서 개최된 제30회 한국지방자치경영대상 시상식에서 ‘행정혁신 부문 대상’을 수상했다.
한국지방자치경영대상은 (사)한국공공자치연구원이 주최하는 지방자치단체 경영성과 평가 시상제도다.
탁월한 성과를 거둔 지방자치단체를 모범사례로 선정해 타 지자체의 벤치마킹 대상으로 삼고, 지방자치 발전에 기여하기 위해 1996년에 제정됐다.
민간부문이 지방자치단체를 평가해 시상하는 제도 중 우리나라에서 가장 권위 있는 상으로 꼽힌다.
지방자치단체 기관상은 행정혁신, 문화관광, 복지보건, 지역개발, 산업경제(도시/농촌), 기후환경 등 6개 부문과 종합대상으로 구성된다.
수상 지자체는 2차례의 전문심사와 인터뷰 심사, 주민 만족도조사, 최종 적격심사 등 4단계의 과정을 거쳐 선정된다.
합천군은 스마트 마을방송 시스템 운영, ‘동네방네 스마트를 품은 경로당’ 구축, 농기계대여은행 AI 보이스봇 도입 등 군민이 체감할 수 있는 스마트 생활서비스를 적극 추진한 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다.
김윤철 합천군수는 “3년 연속으로 한국지방자치경영대상을 수상하게 되어 매우 기쁘게 생각한다”며 “아낌없는 성원을 보내주신 군민들과 성실하고 노력하는 자세로 업무에 임해준 직원들에게 감사드리며, 앞으로도 합천을 새롭게 군민을 빛나게 하기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
