[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시가 25년 만에 다시 개최하는 제106회 전국체육대회의 개회식이 오는 17일(목) 오후 6시, 부산아시아드주경기장에서 성대하게 열린다.
단순한 스포츠 행사에서 벗어나 ‘종합 예술 쇼’로 기획된 이번 개회식은 부산의 정서와 역동성, 예술성과 첨단 기술이 결합된 대규모 무대로 전국민의 눈과 귀를 사로잡을 예정이다.
■ “부산의 심장, 예술로 뛰다”… 박칼린이 연출하는 역대급 개회식
이번 개회식은 뮤지컬계 거장 박칼린 총감독이 총연출을 맡고, 태양의 서커스 기술감독 출신 로랑 스테마리 등 국내외 최고 전문가들이 협업해 만들어낸 단 하나의 마스터피스 무대로 기대를 모은다.
개회식 주제는 ‘배 들어온다, 부산!’. 이를 상징하듯 부산항 컨테이너 터미널을 재현한 초대형 무대가 경기장 그라운드 위에 구현돼 시각적 충격과 몰입감을 선사할 예정이다. 개회식은 ▲프리쇼(Preshow) ▲쇼1 ▲쇼2 ▲공식행사 ▲축하공연 순으로 진행된다.

개회식의 포문을 여는 프리쇼는 부산항에 입항하는 배를 맞이하는 분주한 터미널의 움직임을 무용과 기술 퍼포먼스로 표현하며, 관객을 현장 속으로 끌어들이는 입체적 연출로 시작된다.
■ [Show 1] 부산을 주제로 한 단 하나의 옴니버스 뮤지컬
본 공연인 ‘쇼 1’은 뮤지컬 배우 최재림을 중심으로 펼쳐지는 부산 테마의 옴니버스 뮤지컬 무대다. 출연진은 컨테이너 속에서 등장해, 부산항의 성장 스토리와 부산 사람들의 꿈과 애환을 드라마틱한 퍼포먼스로 풀어낸다. 시간과 공간을 넘나드는 장면 전환, 화려한 의상과 무대미술이 어우러져 부산의 삶과 역사를 예술로 승화시키는 장관을 연출할 예정이다.

개회식의 하이라이트인 ‘쇼 2’에서는 부산 전통예술의 정수인 동래학춤이 선보인다. 고요하면서도 힘 있는 춤사위로 성화를 맞이하고, 성화 최종 주자의 점화 퍼포먼스, 하늘을 수놓는 불꽃쇼가 이어지며 분위기를 절정으로 끌어올린다. 이는 공식적인 개막을 알리는 최고조의 순간이 될 전망이다.

오후 6시 30분부터는 선수단 입장을 시작으로 본격적인 공식행사가 이어진다. 입장은 ▲시도 선수단 ▲재외한인 선수단 ▲이북5도 선수단 순으로 진행되며, 관람객과 보다 가까운 중앙 관람석 방향으로 입장해 시민들과 호흡한다.

모두가 참여하는 피날레는 이번 전국체전이 시민과 선수, 예술과 스포츠가 하나 되는 축제임을 상징적으로 보여줄 예정이다.

The main performance, Show 1, features musical actor Choi Jae-rim at the center of an omnibus musical themed around Busan. Performers emerge from containers to portray the port city’s growth and the dreams and everyday stories of its people through dramatic staging. Swift scene changes, striking costumes, and scenic artistry vividly capture the depth and life of Busan across time and space.

Show 2, the highlight of the ceremony, presents Busan’s iconic Dongnae Crane Dance, welcoming the torch with graceful and powerful movement. The final torchbearer will light the flame in a dramatic performance, as fireworks illuminate the night sky, signaling the official opening.

From 6:30 p.m., athletes’ parades will commence, with teams from Korea’s provinces, the overseas Korean community, and representatives from North Korea’s five provinces, entering the stadium to enthusiastic applause. The national anthem, athlete and referee oaths, and opening declarations by key officials—including the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Mayor of Busan—will follow, preserving tradition.
