서구에 따르면, 이번 협약은 반려동물의 장례문화에 대한 올바른 인식 확산과 건전한 장례문화 정착을 목적으로 하며, 서구와 협력사는 인적·물적 자원과 정보교류를 바탕으로 구민에게 실질적인 혜택을 제공하기 위한 협력체계를 구축했다.
