【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청이 17일부터 19일까지 2박 3일간 초·중·고 학생 30명과 함께 제주도 탐방에 나선다. 이주배경학생과 비이주배경학생이 함께 우리 역사와 자연, 문화산업을 체험한다.
'다다익선 글로컬 문화 탐험대'는 다문화 학생과 비다문화 학생들이 다 같이 탐구하고 익혀 그 결과를 선보이는 학생 주도 프로젝트다. 서로 소통하며 사회성과 학교생활 적응력을 높이기 위해 운영하고 있다.
대구시교육청은 지난 6월부터 초등학교 6학년에서 고등학교 2학년까지 이주배경학생 17명, 비이주배경학생 13명 등 모두 30명의 탐험대를 꾸렸다. 세계시민교육센터에서 '우리나라 이해를 통한 세계시민교육'을 주제로 학생들이 스스로 정한 과제를 탐구하고 실천하는 활동을 이어오고 있다.
이번 제주도 탐방은 탐험대 활동의 하나로, 그동안 학생들이 탐구해온 우리나라의 역사·자연·문화산업 등 3가지 주제를 직접 체험하고 살펴보기 위한 활동이다.
탐방에 참여하는 학생들은 본태박물관과 제주해녀박물관, 성읍민속마을에서 제주도의 역사를 비롯해 우리나라 역사 전반을 살펴본다. 제주곶자왈도립공원과 하도해수욕장 등을 찾아 우리나라의 아름다운 자연을 느끼고 관광산업을 발전시킬 수 있는 방안을 탐구한다.
또 오설록티뮤지엄과 넥슨컴퓨터박물관, 아르떼뮤지엄 등 다양한 제주도의 문화산업을 체험하며 주제 탐구와 진로 체험을 경험한다.
탐험대는 다음 달 1일 세계시민교육센터에서 열리는 세계문화축제 '어울림 한마당'에서 성과발표회를 갖는다. 그동안 프로젝트 수업과 제주도 현장 탐구 활동 등을 통한 학습 결과를 나눌 예정이다.
강은희 교육감은 "역사적·문화적·자연 명소 탐방을 통해 우리나라의 다양한 문화에 대한 이해도를 높이고, 이주배경학생과 비이주배경학생들이 서로 소통하며 사회성과 학교생활 적응력 향상에 도움이 되길 바란다"고 말했다.

They will also experience various cultural industries on Jeju Island, including the Osulloc Tea Museum, Nexon Computer Museum, and Arte Museum, while exploring themes and career paths.
The expedition team will present its findings at the "Eoullim Hanmadang," a world culture festival held at the Global Citizenship Education Center on April 1st. During this time, they will share their learning outcomes from project classes and field trips to Jeju Island.
Superintendent Kang Eun-hee stated, "Through these visits to historical, cultural, and natural sites, we hope to enhance students' understanding of Korea's diverse cultures. We also hope to foster communication between students from immigrant and non-immigrant backgrounds, enhancing their social skills and adaptability to school life."
