군포시가 지난 10월 17일 시민체육광장에 개최된 ‘제37회 군포시민의 날’ 기념식에서 ‘제31회 군포시민대상’ 시상식을 개최해 수상자 4인에게 표창을 수여했다.
군포시는 올해 후보자 추천이 없는 문화·예술 부문을 제외하고 △지역발전 부문 정재희 군포농협 상임이사, △교육체육 부문 이재원 군포시 수영연맹 회장,△효행선행 부문 김만진 전 민주평화통일 군포시협의회장, 봉사나눔 부문 김선옥 군포시 통장협의회장을 시민대상 수상자로 선정했다.
군포시는 다양한 분야에서 근면·성실한 자세로 봉사하며 시 발전에 헌신적으로 기여한 시민 을 군포시민대상 수상자로 선정 시상하고 있다.
지난 8월 19일부터 9월 10일까지 추천을 받아 총 13명의 후보자가 추천됐으며 시민대상 심사위원회의 공정하고 투명한 심사를 거쳐 최종 4인이 선정됐다.
정재희 군포농협 상임이사는 군포사랑장학회 기탁, 지역자원을 활용한 지역경제 활성화, 복지시설에 쌀 기증 등 소외된 이웃사랑 실천으로 지역발전에 기여한 점을 인정받았다.
이재원 군포시 수영연맹 회장은 군포시 수영연맹을 창설하고 시장배 수영대회를 주관하며 생활 체육을 활성화하여 시 체육발전에 기여한 점을 높이 평가받았다.
김만진 前 민주평화통일 군포시협의회장은 노인, 다문화가정, 북한이탈주민 등 소외계층을 위한 선행에 적극 앞장서 효와 나눔의 가치를 실천해왔다.
김선옥 군포시 통장협의회장은 다양한 단체활동으로 각종 봉사활동을 하며, 관내 꿈나무 육상선수 후원, 산불피해 후원 등을 통한 지역사회 연대와 나눔문화 확산을 인정받아 이번 시민대상 수상자로 선정됐다.
하은호 군포시장은 “군포시를 위해 봉사하고 헌신해 온 분들로 인해 군포시가 더 밝고 따뜻한 도시로 성장할 수 있었다”며 “앞으로도 시민 모두가 행복한 군포를 만드는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

On October 17th, Gunpo City held the '31st Gunpo Citizen Awards' Ceremony at the '37th Gunpo Citizens' Day' ceremony held at the Citizens' Sports Plaza. Four recipients were awarded commendations.
Excluding the culture and arts category, which had no nominations this year, Gunpo City selected Jeong Jae-hee, Executive Director of Gunpo Agricultural Cooperative, for the Regional Development category; Lee Jae-won, President of the Gunpo Swimming Federation, for the Education and Sports category; Kim Man-jin, former President of the Gunpo City Council for Democracy and Peaceful Unification, for the Filial Piety category; and Kim Seon-ok, President of the Gunpo City Tongjang Association, for the Volunteer Service category.
Gunpo City recognizes citizens who have dedicated themselves to the city's development through diligent and sincere service in various fields.
Nominations were accepted from August 19 to September 10, and a total of 13 candidates were nominated. Four were ultimately selected after a fair and transparent review by the Citizens' Award Review Committee.
Jeong Jae-hee, Executive Director of Gunpo Agricultural Cooperative, was recognized for his contributions to regional development through donations to the Gunpo Sarang Scholarship Foundation, revitalizing the local economy by utilizing local resources, and donating rice to welfare facilities.
