【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청(교육감 임종식)은 독도의 날(10월 25일)을 맞아 20일부터 다음 달 7일까지 3주간 ‘2025 독도의 날 기념 독도사랑 온라인 축제’를 운영한다.
‘따뜻한 경북교육, 독도를 품다’를 주제로 열리는 이번 행사는 학생·교직원·국민이 함께 참여해 독도 사랑과 영토 주권 의식을 높이는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 행사는 사이버독도학교(dokdoschool.gyo6.net)를 중심으로 한 체험·참여형 온라인 프로그램으로 진행된다.
축제는 총 5개 분야로 구성됐다. △‘독도의 달, 우리 학교 풍경’은 학교별 독도 사랑 실천 활동을 1분 내외 영상으로 공유하는 프로그램이며, △‘손 글씨로 채워가는 독도 사랑 릴레이’는 개인이나 단체가 손 글씨로 작성한 독도 사랑 문구를 제출하는 참여형 행사다.
또한 △‘독도 메타버스 학급 출석 이벤트’ △‘교원독도탐사단 영상 퀴즈 이벤트’ △‘독도 교수·학습 자료 공모’ 등 누구나 쉽게 참여할 수 있는 프로그램이 함께 진행된다.
참여는 사이버독도학교 누리집에서 가능하며, 결과는 11월 14일 발표된다. 참가자 중 일부는 추첨 및 우수작 선정을 통해 간식 꾸러미 등 상품을 받을 수 있고, 우수작은 향후 홍보자료로도 활용된다.
임종식 교육감은 “이번 축제가 독도의 날을 계기로 전 국민이 영토 주권과 역사의식을 되새기는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “사이버독도학교를 전국적으로 활성화해 지속 가능한 독도 교육 플랫폼으로 발전시키겠다”고 말했다.

To commemorate Dokdo Day (October 25th), the Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) will host the "2025 Dokdo Day Commemorative Dokdo Love Online Festival" for three weeks, from October 20th to October 7th.
Under the theme "Warm Gyeongbuk Education, Embracing Dokdo," this event aims to foster a love for Dokdo and a sense of territorial sovereignty among students, faculty, and the public. The event will be held as an experiential and participatory online program centered around the Cyber Dokdo School (dokdoschool.gyo6.net).
The festival consists of five sections. △"Dokdo Month, Our School Scenes" is a program where schools share their Dokdo love activities through videos of approximately one minute each. △"Dokdo Love Relay: Filling It with Handwriting" is a participatory event where individuals or groups submit handwritten messages expressing their love for Dokdo.
Additionally, various programs that anyone can easily participate in will be held, including the "Dokdo Metaverse Class Attendance Event," the "Teacher's Dokdo Exploration Team Video Quiz Event," and the "Dokdo Teaching and Learning Material Contest."
Participation is available on the Cyber Dokdo School website, and the results will be announced on November 14th. Some participants will receive prizes, such as snack packages, through raffles and the selection of winning entries. The winning entries will also be used in future promotional materials.
Superintendent of Education Lim Jong-sik stated, "I hope this festival will serve as an opportunity for all citizens to reflect on territorial sovereignty and historical awareness on Dokdo Day. We will revitalize the Cyber Dokdo School nationwide and develop it into a sustainable Dokdo education platform."
