[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 10월 축제에서 음식 판매부스에 다회용기 사용을 도입하며 친환경 축제로 전환을 본격화했다고 23일 밝혔다.
시는 자원순환 정책 강화와 친환경 문화 확산에 발맞춰, 축제를 계기로 일회용품 사용을 줄이고 자원순환 문화를 확산시키는 데 주력하고 있다.
시에 따르면 올해 축제 기간 동안 세계음식관과 푸드트럭, 청년부스 등 총 18개 업체가 참여해 다회용기 1만5520개를 사용했으며, 이 중 약 78%가 회수됐다고 전했다.
시는 친환경 축제문화에 대한 시민 인식이 확산되면 앞으로 더 높은 회수율과 실질적인 성과를 거둘 것으로 기대하고 있다.
