[브레이크뉴스-=배종태 기자] 부산시와 부산시교육청은 24일 오후 4시, 시청 영상회의실에서 '2025년도 하반기 교육행정협의회'를 개최한다고 밝혔다.
이번 회의에는 박형준 시장과 김석준 교육감을 비롯해 이복조 시의회 건설교통위원회 의원, 양 기관의 국장급 관계자들이 참석한다.
학교 교육여건 개선 위한 정례 협의
교육행정협의회는 부산시와 시교육청이 매년 상·하반기 두 차례 정례적으로 개최하는 회의로, 학교 교육환경 개선과 교육지원사업 등의 주요 현안을 함께 논의하며 지역 교육 발전 방향을 모색하는 자리다.
시·교육청 주요 안건 5건 심의
이번 하반기 협의회에서는 부산시가 제안한 안건 2건과 부산시교육청이 제안한 안건 3건 등 총 5건에 대해 심도 있는 논의가 이뤄진다.
부산시 안건은 ▲주택사업 공동위원회 운영 개선 ▲한복 문화교육 및 프로그램 개설 협조이며, 부산시교육청 안건은 ▲학교용지 부담금(학교증축비) 전출 요청 ▲2025학년도 무상급식비 지원 ▲2026년 법정전입금 예산 편성 협의 등이다.
긴밀한 협력체계 통한 교육지원 강화
부산시와 시교육청은 교육행정협의회 외에도 매년 세 차례의 실무협의회를 운영하면서 교육지원심의회와 친환경무상학교급식위원회를 통해 ▲무상급식비 확대 ▲학교 다목적 강당 건립 ▲특수학교 방과후 교실 운영 지원 등 다양한 교육지원사업을 추진하고 있다.
교육특구와 미래인재 양성사업 성과
양 기관은 지난해부터 ‘교육발전특구 시범지역 운영’, ‘다자녀교육지원포인트 사업’ 등 공동 대표사업을 통해 부산교육의 혁신을 이끌고 있다. 특히 교육발전특구 시범사업은 성과평가에서 최고 등급인 A등급을 획득해 추가 사업비를 확보, 성공적 성과를 거뒀다.
“교육혁신이 지역 성장의 핵심 동력”
박형준 시장은 “부산이 대한민국의 균형발전을 선도하고 미래 교육의 모범도시로 자리매김할 수 있도록 시와 교육청이 정책적 노력을 함께 기울이고 있다”며 “부산의 교육 혁신이 지역의 지속 가능한 성장으로 이어질 수 있도록 긴밀히 협력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

-2025 Second-Half Educational Administration Council to Discuss Key Cooperative Policies
The Busan Metropolitan Government (Mayor Park Heong-joon) and the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seok-joon) announced that they will hold the 2025 Second-Half Educational Administration Council on October 24 at 4 p.m. in the City Hall video conference room. Participants include Mayor Park, Superintendent Kim, City Council Member Lee Bok-jo from the Construction and Transportation Committee, and senior officials from both institutions.

Strengthening Education Through Regular Cooperation
The Educational Administration Council is held twice a year—once in the first half and again in the second—to improve school conditions and coordinate support projects. The meeting allows the city and the education office to tackle local education issues together and promote policies that benefit Busan’s students and schools.
Five Main Agenda Items on the Table
During the meeting, the two organizations will discuss five key items—two proposed by the city and three by the education office.
The city will present: ▲Improvements to the Joint Committee for Housing Projects▲Cooperation on Hanbok cultural education programs.
The Office of Education will present: ▲Requests to transfer school site funding (school expansion contributions) ▲2025 free school meal program support ▲Budget allocation discussions for statutory education transfers in 2026
Municipal and Educational Cooperation in Action
In addition to the council, the two bodies hold three working-level meetings annually and engage through the Eco-Friendly Free School Meal Committee and the Education Support Council. These efforts focus on initiatives such as expanding free school meal funding, building multi-purpose school gyms, and enhancing after-school programs for special education students—demonstrating an ongoing partnership for better education services.
Joint Initiatives for Future Talent Development
Since 2024, Busan City and the Office of Education have jointly promoted projects like the Educational Development Special Zone Pilot Program and the Multi-Child Education Support Points Project to boost the city’s education innovation. The pilot program recently earned an “A” rating in its performance review, securing additional funding for expansion.

Mayor Park Heong-joon emphasized, “Busan aims to become a leading model city for future education and balanced national development through strong collaboration between the city and the education office. We’ll continue working together to ensure that our education innovation efforts contribute directly to sustainable regional growth.”
