(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구문화원이 오는 10월 31일 오후 2시 인천서구문화원 캠프에서 ‘2025년 제2회 인천 서구학 세미나’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.
서구문화원에 따르면, 이번 세미나는 ‘인천 서구의 공간’을 주제로 서구의 역사·지리·산업·문화유산 등 지역의 다양한 면모를 입체적으로 살펴보는 자리다.
세미나는 서덕현 인천서구문화원 사무국장의 개회로 시작해 서구의 공간적 특성과 변화(최정학 국사편찬위원회 사료조사위원), 지형과 지리적 환경으로 보는 인천 서구(최원길 전. 서인천고등학교 지리 교사), 인천 서구 문화유산의 현황과 특징(김영준 인하대학교 박사), 사회경제적 입지로 본 서구(강철구 인천대학교 강사) 등 4개의 주제 발표가 이어진다.
발표 이후에는 강덕우 인천개항장연구소 대표가 좌장을 맡아 역사·도시 전문가들과 함께 종합토론을 진행한다.
토론에는 김경은 소설가, 남동걸 인천학연구원 상임연구위원, 손민환 부평역사박물관 학예연구팀장, 김태훈 (협)다온정책연구원 연구위원 등이 참여해 서구 공간 가치와 미래 방향을 논의한다.
인천서구문화원 서덕현 사무국장은 “인천 서구는 산업단지, 갯벌과 매립, 국가유산 등 다양한 공간의 층위를 가진 지역이다. 이번 세미나가 서구의 공간적 정체성을 공유하고 시민들과 함께 고민하는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.
