고양특례시 일산동구 백석1동 주민자치회는 지난 28일 백석1동 행정복지센터에서 ‘사랑 담고 장 담고’ 행사를 열고 고추장 나눔 봉사활동을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 백석1동 주민자치회가 올해 들어 다섯 번째로 개최한 행사로, 지역 주민과 함께 전통 고추장을 담그며 우리 전통문화를 되새기고자 마련됐다.
이날 행사에는 주민자치회 위원과 지역 주민 등 30여 명이 참여해 정성스럽게 준비한 재료로 고추장(2kg) 150통을 완성했으며 완성된 고추장은 독거노인, 기초생활수급자 등 지역 내 취약계층 이웃에게 전달되어 따뜻한 마음을 나누는 데 쓰였다.
윤효경 백석1동 주민자치회장은 “올해 다섯 번째로 열린 이 행사가 앞으로 백석1동을 대표하는 나눔 사업으로 자리 잡길 바란다”며 “정성을 담은 고추장을 통해 어려운 이웃들이 따뜻한 겨울을 보내길 바란다”고 말했다.
행사에 참여한 한 주민은 “날씨는 춥지만 전통문화를 체험하고 봉사활동에 함께할 수 있어 뜻깊었다”며 “앞으로도 주민자치회 활동에 꾸준히 참여해 이웃과 함께하는 마을 만들기에 힘을 보태고 싶다”고 전했다.
