신천지예수교 증거장막성전(총회장 이만희‧이하 신천지예수교회)이 창세기부터 요한계시록까지 성경을 통달한 신앙인 약 6만 명을 배출하며 다시 한번 대규모 수료식을 개최해 교계의 이목을 집중시키고 있다. 특히 최근 4년간 누적 목회자 수료생이 1만 3500명을 돌파하는 등 목회자들의 참여가 두드러져 그 배경에 관심이 쏠리고 있다. 신천지예수교회는 11월 2일 신천지 청주교회에서 개최된 ‘제116기 시온기독교선교센터 수료식’에서 총 5만 9192명이 수료했다고 밝혔다.
엄격한 교육과정 이수에도 6만명 수료

시온기독교선교센터는 창세기부터 요한계시록까지 성경 전권을 체계적으로 교육하는 무료 성경 교육기관이다. 특히 기독교 경서의 핵심인 ‘예언과 성취’를 중심으로 하나님의 목적과 성경의 전체 흐름을 가르친다. 수료를 위해서는 초·중·고등 3단계 과정을 모두 이수하고 종합시험에서 90점 이상을 받아야 하는 엄격한 기준이 적용된다.
신천지예수교회 관계자는 “이번 기수는 팬데믹 이후 전면 오프라인 교육으로 진행되는 등 엄격한 과정을 거쳤음에도 수료생이 6만 명에 달한다”며, “이는 진리에 대한 신앙인들의 갈급함이 교단과 교파를 넘어 확산되고 있음을 보여주는 결과”라고 설명했다.
목회자 수료생 급증…“요한계시록 명확히 깨달아”
이번 116기 수료생 가운데 목회자는 2248명으로 집계됐다. 최근 4년간 누적 목회자 수료생은 1만 3500명을 돌파하며 급증세를 보이고 있다. 이러한 증가세를 반영하듯 수료소감문 발표는 3개의 교회를 개척했던 전직 목회자 출신 오선경 씨가 맡았다. 오 씨는 소감문을 통해 “신학교와 교회 등 누구도 알려주지 못했던 요한계시록을 시온기독교선교센터에서 명확히 깨달았다”며 “30번 이상 성경을 통독해도 답을 찾지 못했던 인생이 이 말씀을 통해 완전히 새로워졌다”고 간증했다.
그는 이어 “목회자였을 때 이 말씀을 알았다면 얼마나 좋았을까 하는 아쉬움이 크다”며, “이제는 교단과 교파를 넘어 진리로 배우고 가감 없이 전해야 한다”고 강조했다.
말씀 중심의 참 신앙 회복 강조
시온기독교선교센터 탄영진 총원장은 “네 차례 10만 수료식을 진행한 신천지가 극심한 핍박과 훼방에도 수만 명의 수료생을 배출하고 부흥하는 것은 하나님께서 함께하시기 때문”이라고 밝혔다. 또한 “수료생들은 이 교육 과정을 통해 목회자도 배우지 못한 성경의 실상을 깨달은 수준 높은 신앙인들로 성장했다”며 “말씀 중심의 참 신앙 회복이 이뤄지고 있다”고 강조했다.
한편, 이번 수료식은 ‘사랑과 축복, 세계를 비추는 빛’을 주제로 열렸으며, 이만희 총회장 말씀, 축복기도, 수술 넘김 및 상장·수료증 수여, 수료 소감문 발표, 축하공연 등의 순으로 진행됐다.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman Man-hee Lee, hereinafter referred to as Shincheonji Church of Jesus), is once again holding a large-scale graduation ceremony, producing approximately 60,000 believers who have mastered the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, drawing attention from the religious community. The remarkable participation of pastors is particularly noteworthy, with the cumulative number of pastors graduating over the past four years surpassing 13,500, drawing attention to the background. Shincheonji Church of Jesus announced that a total of 59,192 people graduated from the "116th Zion Christian Mission Center Graduation Ceremony" held at the Shincheonji Cheongju Church on November 2nd.
Despite Rigorous Curriculum, 60,000 Graduates
Zion Christian Mission Center is a free Bible education institution that systematically teaches the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation. It focuses on "prophecy and fulfillment," the core of Christian scripture, teaching God's purpose and the overall flow of the Bible. To graduate, students must complete all three levels—elementary, middle, and high school—and score 90 or higher on the comprehensive exam.
A representative from Shincheonji Church of Jesus stated, "Despite the rigorous curriculum, including moving to offline classes following the pandemic, this class has reached 60,000 graduates. This demonstrates that believers' thirst for truth is spreading beyond denominations and sects."
Surge in Pastors Graduates… "Clearly Understanding the Book of Revelation"
Of the 116th graduates, 2,248 are pastors. Over the past four years, the cumulative number of pastoral graduates has surpassed 13,500, showing a rapid increase. Reflecting this growth, Oh Seon-gyeong, a former pastor who founded three churches, presented her graduation essay. In her essay, Oh testified, "I clearly understood the Book of Revelation at the Zion Christian Mission Center, a revelation that no one, not even seminary or church, could explain." She continued, "I couldn't find the answer even after reading the Bible over 30 times, but this passage completely transformed my life." She continued, "I wish I had known this passage when I was a pastor." She emphasized, "Now, we must transcend denominations and sects, learning from the truth and sharing it without adding or subtracting anything."
Emphasis on Restoring True Faith Centered on the Word
Zion Christian Mission Center President Tan Young-jin stated, "Shincheonji, which has held four 100,000-member graduation ceremonies, has produced tens of thousands of graduates and experienced revival despite extreme persecution and sabotage. This is because God is with us." He also emphasized, "Through this training program, graduates have grown into highly sophisticated believers who have realized the truth of the Bible, a truth even pastors have failed to grasp," and "A true restoration of faith centered on the Word is taking place."
Meanwhile, the graduation ceremony was held under the theme of "Love and Blessing, the Light that Illuminates the World." The ceremony included a speech by Chairman Man-hee Lee, a prayer of blessing, the presentation of awards and certificates, presentations of graduation essays, and a congratulatory performance.
