파주시가 운정 초롱꽃마을 입주민들과의 소통에 나섰다.
기반시설 부족에 대한 입주민들의 우려를 직접 듣고, 지역 발전 방향을 공유하기 위한 자리였다.
파주시는 6일 운정 초롱꽃마을 1·2단지에서 '이동시장실'을 열고 입주민들의 의견을 청취했다고 7일 밝혔다.

올해 2월 이후 입주가 시작된 초롱꽃마을 1·2단지는 심학산 인근의 쾌적한 자연환경과 롯데프리미엄아울렛 파주점 등 우수한 입지 조건을 갖추고 있다.
하지만 교통 및 생활편의시설 등 기반시설이 아직 충분히 구축되지 않아 입주민들의 불편이 이어지고 있는 상황이다.
김경일 파주시장은 "초롱꽃마을은 파주시의 미래 주거 중심지 중 하나로, 앞으로 더욱 살기 좋은 마을로 발전할 것"이라며 "시가 할 수 있는 모든 노력을 다하겠다"고 약속했다.
이날 입주민들은 메디컬클러스터 용적률 상향 문제를 집중적으로 제기했다.
운정3지구 전체의 도시계획이 훼손되는 것 아니냐는 우려였다.
김 시장은 "해당 사업은 환경영향평가와 도시계획 및 경관위원회의 심의 등을 거쳐 운정3지구와의 조화를 최대한 고려해 면밀히 검토했다"고 설명했다.
이어 "메디컬클러스터가 조성되면 의료시설 접근성이 개선될 뿐만 아니라, 이를 중심으로 교통망이 개선되는 등 지역 전체의 기반시설 발전의 기폭제가 될 것"이라고 강조했다.
김 시장은 "일시적인 불편은 있겠지만, 장기적으로는 초롱꽃마을을 포함한 운정3지구 전체의 정주 여건이 획기적으로 개선될 것"이라며 입주민들의 이해를 구했다.
파주시는 앞으로도 이동시장실을 통해 현장을 직접 찾아 시민의 목소리를 듣고, 이를 행정에 반영하는 '현장 중심 행정'을 이어갈 계획이다.
시 관계자는 "신규 입주 지역의 경우 기반시설 확충에 시간이 소요되는 만큼, 입주민들과의 적극적인 소통을 통해 불편을 최소화하고 발전 방향을 함께 모색해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
