【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교(총장 최재영)가 교육부의 2024년 정보공시 기준 취업률 79.2%를 기록, 3천 명 이상 대규모 졸업자를 배출한 전문대학 중 전국 1위에 올랐다. 또한 해외 취업률 역시 전국 1위를 차지하며, 국내를 넘어 글로벌 현장에서 경쟁력을 확인했다.
특히 올해는 해외 취업 성과가 뚜렷하다. 컴퓨터정보계열 남가현 학생(25)은 내년 4월 일본 최대 케이블TV 기업인 제이콤(J:Com)에 입사할 예정이다. 남씨는 정규 교과 이수와 더불어 일본 취업 특강을 꾸준히 듣고, 지난해 6월 일찌감치 내정됐다.
국내 대기업 취업에서도 의미 있는 성과가 이어지고 있다. AI융합기계계열 평생학습자과정을 졸업한 신종현 씨(28)는 직장과 학업을 병행하며 준비한 끝에 지난해 9월 SK에너지에 최종 합격했다. 신씨는 체계적인 교육과정이 취업 성공의 밑거름이 됐다고 밝혔다.
영진전문대는 컴퓨터정보, AI융합기계, 반도체전자 등 첨단 학과를 중심으로 산업체 맞춤형 주문식 교육을 운영 중이다. 최근 6년간 삼성, LG, SK 등 국내 대기업에 취업한 졸업생은 총 2,160여 명으로 집계됐다. 이 가운데 삼성 240명, LG 380명, SK 325명 등 세부 취업 성과도 두드러진다.
