【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구(구청장 류규하)가 ‘2025년 재난응급의료 종합훈련대회’에서 최우수상인 보건복지부 장관상을 수상하며 전국 1위의 성과를 거뒀다.
대회는 지난 11일부터 12일까지 충남 천안 재능교육연수원에서 열렸으며, 전국 15개 시·도 대표와 재난응급의료 관계자 등 200여 명이 참가했다.
이번 대회는 보건복지부가 주최했으며, 대형 재난 발생을 가정해 보건소, 소방, 재난거점병원이 한 팀을 이뤄 도상훈련과 현장 대응 능력을 종합적으로 평가하는 방식으로 진행됐다.
대구 대표팀은 중구보건소 신속대응반 4명과 경북대학교병원 DMAT 4명, 강북소방서 구급대원 2명 등 총 10명으로 구성됐다. 이들은 실제 재난 현장을 방불케 하는 상황에서 환자 분류와 이송, 현장 대응까지 전 과정을 빈틈없이 수행해 심사위원들로부터 높은 점수를 받았다.
중구보건소는 재난응급의료 분야에서 최근 눈에 띄는 성과를 내고 있다. 2023년부터 3년 연속 대구시 자체 경진대회에서 입상했으며, 2023년 전국 종합훈련대회에서도 대구시 대표로 참가해 보건복지부 장관상을 수상한 바 있다.
류규하 중구청장은 “우리 구의 재난응급의료 대응력이 전국 최고 수준임을 이번 수상을 통해 다시 한 번 입증했다”며 “앞으로도 관계기관과의 끈끈한 협력으로 구민의 생명과 안전을 지키는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu's Jung-gu District (Mayor Ryu Gyu-ha) achieved first place nationwide by winning the Minister of Health and Welfare Award, the grand prize, at the "2025 Disaster and Emergency Medical Training Competition."
The competition, held at the Cheonan Jaeneung Education and Training Center in South Chungcheong Province from the 11th to the 12th, was attended by approximately 200 participants, including representatives from 15 cities and provinces nationwide and disaster and emergency medical professionals.
Hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the competition simulated a large-scale disaster and involved teams from public health centers, fire departments, and disaster-focused hospitals, comprehensively evaluating their on-site response capabilities and conducting hands-on training.
The Daegu team consisted of ten members: four members of the Jung-gu District Public Health Center's Rapid Response Team, four members of the Kyungpook National University Hospital Disaster and Emergency Medical Services (DMAT), and two paramedics from the Gangbuk Fire Station. They meticulously executed the entire process, from triage and transport to on-site response, in conditions reminiscent of actual disasters, earning high marks from the judges.
The Jung-gu Public Health Center has recently achieved remarkable results in the field of disaster and emergency medical services. It has won awards in Daegu City's internal competitions for three consecutive years since 2023, and represented Daegu City at the 2023 National Training Competition, where it received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award.
Jung-gu Mayor Ryu Gyu-ha stated, "This award once again demonstrates that our district's disaster and emergency medical response capabilities are among the best in the nation. We will continue to work closely with relevant organizations to do our utmost to protect the lives and safety of our residents."
