천만의 말씀이다. 그런 주장이 거품이다. 투자자들은 AI(인공지능)를 모르는 상태에서 AI 주식에 투자하고 있을 뿐이다. AI는 인간의 오류와 거짓말과 속임수를 밝히거나 드러내 주고, 그럼으로써 진실에 더 가까이 가도록 안내한다. 2018년 테슬라 자동차 초기 버전에 자꾸 문제가 생기자 일론 머스크는 "로봇은 인간만큼 빠르지 않고, 인간을 고용하는만큼 값싸게 쓸 수도 없다. 다만 인간이 공장에 너무 많으면, 그들은 오류를 일으킨다."면서 공장 자동화를 당겼다.(물론 인간 무시 발언이라는 비판이 나돌자 "인간을 과소평가했다"면서 에둘렀지만 결국 그는 "Humans are the most unreliable component in the system."(인간은 시스템에서 가장 신뢰할 수 없는 부품이다)란 말을 취소하지는 않았다.
요즈음 AI에게 어떤 사회현상을 물어보면 진실에 가깝게, 과학에 가깝게, 사실에 가깝게 대답해준다. 즉 인간의 무지와 오류를 제거해준다. AI 수준이 작년과도 다르고, 내년에는 또 달라질 것이다. AI 수준은 산술급수로 늘지 않고, 기하급수로 늘어난다. 올래가 작년의 2배로 성장했다면 내년에는 4배로 성장하는 식이다. 즉 2022년 수준으로 보면 2023년 챗GPT는 2배 똑똑해지고, 2024년에는 4배 더 똑똑해지고, 2025년에는 16배 똑똑해지는 식이다. 2026년에는 32가 된다.
아직 2진법 시대라 그렇지 만일 양자컴퓨터까지 실용 기술을 확보하면 그때는 거듭제곱이 일어나 2가 2x2하여 4가 되고, 4는 4x4하여 16이 되고, 16은 16X16하여 256이 되고, 256은 256 x 256 = 65,536이 될 것이다. 실제로 우리 우주는 양자로 운영되기 때문에 이렇게 나타난다.
지금 일어나고 있는 과학기술 분야의 기하급수적인 발달만 해도 정신 못차릴 변화인데, 거듭제곱의 세상이 되면 아마도 웬만한 거짓, 위선, 사기, 거짓말을 다 사라질 것이다.
지난 세기인 20세기는 우리에게 산술급수로 큰 변화를 가져왔다. 우리들 삶이 그러했다. 21세기는 지금 기하급수로 변하는 중이다. 그런데 머지않아, 2030년대로 예측이 되는데 거듭제곱의 세상이 온다면 지금 우리 사회에 들끓고 있는 이 거짓말, 위선, 사기, 속임수는 뿌리째 말라버릴 것이다. 결국 그런 사람들은 잉여인간이 되어 국가의 복지로 목숨을 잇거나 AI가 하지 못하는 분야에서 가장 기초적인 노동을 하게 된 것이다.
변호사, 판사, 작가, 시인, 화가, 음악가, 군인, 노동자, 교수, 교사의 지위가 이미 흔들리고 있다. 신문사, 방송국, 대학, 학교, 학원이 흔들리고 있다. 공무원도 행정 기술자에 지나지 않으며, 의원인들 AI 판단력이나 분석력을 따라잡기도 힘들다.
그렇다고 모든 사람이 다 AI에게 떠밀려나는 것은 아니다. 아직은 인간의 두뇌가 AI보다 더 뛰어난 분야가 많다. AI를 만드는 주체는, 아직은 인간이다. 그것이 무엇일까 스스로 판단하여 살아남는 길을 찾아야 한다. 시간이 많이 남아 있지는 않다. AI 시대의 거품은 바로 남 눈치나 보며 소리 지르는 <당신>이 될 수 있다. 허둥지둥하는 사이 아무짝에도 못써먹는 잉여인간 문제는 과학, 기술, 문명, 산업이 바뀔 때마다 늘 나타나는 현상이다.
우리 인간은, 농경시대에 수렵 채집하러 산으로 들로 뛰어다닌 아프리카인이나 인디언이 돼서는 안된다. 산업시대가 파도처럼 밀려드는데, 척화비 때려 박으며 남의 나라 사람들을 오랑캐라고 막아대는 대원군이 돼서는 안된다. 버티고 눈감고 뒤돌아선들 결국은 산업시대의 영국 노동자들처럼 거대한 공장이나 거대한 AI 시스템의 부속품이 될 수밖에 있다.

배송분야 선구자인 페덱스(FEDEX)도 처음 이 시스템 기획안을 본 담당교수 프레드 스미스는 "C 학점 받으려면 실현가능성이 있어야 한다"며 낙제점을 주었다. 심지어 미국 특허청의 찰스 H. 듀얼이라는 사람은 “발명할 만한 것들은 이미 다 발명되었다”고 목청을 높였다. 하지만 이 놈이 이 말을 한 해는 1899년이다. 로버트 고다드가 로켓을 발명했을 때 뉴욕타임스는 “고다드 교수는 작용 반작용의 법칙도 모르는 것 같다. 그는 요즘 고등학교에서도 가르치는 그런 기본적인 지식조차 모르는가”라며 악평을 해댔다.
1919년 로버트 고다드0530가 스미소니언 연구소 연구원으로 있으면서 발표한 논문 《A Method of Reaching Extreme Altitudes》(극한 고도에 도달하는 방법)에서 진공 상태(우주)에서도 로켓이 작동할 수 있으며, 달까지 도달 가능하다고 주장했지만, 뉴욕타임스는 “고다드 교수는 작용 반작용의 법칙도 모르는 것 같다. 그는 요즘 고등학교에서도 가르치는 그런 기본적인 지식조차 모르는가”며 악평을 퍼부었다.
1969년 아폴로 11호가 달에 착륙해서야 뉴욕타임스는 “추가 조사와 실험으로 17세기 아이작 뉴턴의 발견이 확인되었으며, 이제 로켓이 대기뿐만 아니라 진공에서도 작동할 수 있다는 것이 명확히 입증되었다. NYT는 그 오류를 유감스럽게 생각한다.”는 어정쩡한 정정기사를 낸다. 고다드는 1945년에 죽어 이 사과를 받지도 못했다.

저 유명한 존 레논이 비틀즈를 결성하여 그들의 노래와 연주를 녹음한 걸 가지고 데카레코드사에 간 적이 있다. 하지만 레코드사는 “음향이나 기타 치는 소리나 마음에 드는 게 하나도 없다.”며 거절했다. 여기 나오는 데카레코드요, 뉴욕타임스요, 특허청의 찰스 듀얼이요, 프레드 스미스요, 척화비 때려 박은 대원군, 이런 사람들이 인류의 앞길을 늘 훼방 놓는다.

AI is a bubble?

Absolutely not. That claim is a bubble. Investors are simply investing in AI stocks without understanding the true nature of AI. AI exposes or reveals human errors, lies, and deception, thereby guiding us closer to the truth. In 2018, when problems persisted with early versions of Tesla cars, Elon Musk pushed for factory automation, saying, "Robots aren't as fast as humans, and they can't be as cheap to hire as humans. However, if you have too many people in a factory, they'll make mistakes." (Of course, when criticism arose that his remarks were dismissive of humans, he defended them by saying, "I underestimated humans," but ultimately, he didn't retract his statement, "Humans are the most unreliable component in the system.")
These days, when you ask AI about a social phenomenon, it gives answers that are closer to the truth, closer to science, closer to fact. In other words, it eliminates human ignorance and errors. The level of AI is different from last year, and it will be different again next year. AI does not grow in an arithmetic progression, but in an exponential progression. If Olleh doubled last year, it will quadruple next year. In other words, based on the 2022 level, ChatGPT will be twice as smart in 2023, and in 2024, it will be twice as smart. By 2025, it will become 4 times smarter, and by 2026, it will be 16 times smarter.
This is still the binary era, but if practical quantum computing technology is secured, then exponentiation will occur. 2 will become 4 through 2 x 2, 4 will become 16 through 4 x 4, 16 will become 256 through 16 x 16, and 256 will become 256 x 256 = 65,536. This is precisely why our universe operates on quantum logic.
The exponential advancements in science and technology today are mind-boggling. In a world of exponential growth, most lies, hypocrisy, fraud, and deception will likely disappear.
The 20th century brought us great changes through arithmetic progression. Our lives were like that. The 21st century is now undergoing exponential transformation. And soon, it's predicted to be the 2030s. If a world of exponential growth arrives, the lies, hypocrisy, fraud, and deception currently rampant in our society will be completely eradicated. Ultimately, these people will become superfluous, surviving on state welfare or performing the most basic labor in fields where AI cannot.
The status of lawyers, judges, writers, poets, painters, musicians, soldiers, workers, professors, and teachers is already being shaken. Newspapers, broadcasting stations, universities, schools, and academies are also in turmoil. Civil servants are merely administrative technicians, and even lawmakers struggle to match the judgment and analytical power of AI.
However, this does not mean that everyone will be pushed aside by AI. There are still many areas where the human brain excels over AI. Humans are still the ones creating AI. We must determine for ourselves what it is and find a way to survive. There is not much time left. The bubble of the AI era could be <you>, who are constantly worrying about what others think and shouting. The problem of superfluous humans, who are left unused while scrambling, is a constant phenomenon that arises whenever science, technology, civilization, or industry changes.
We humans, We shouldn't be like the Africans or Indians who ran wild through the mountains and fields hunting and gathering during the agricultural era. As the industrial age surges forward, we shouldn't be like the Daewongun, who slammed a sledgehammer and blocked foreigners, calling them barbarians. Even if we resist, turn a blind eye, and turn back, we'll ultimately become like British workers in the industrial age, becoming mere appendages to massive factories or massive AI systems.

Even FedEx, a pioneer in the delivery industry, gave this system proposal a failing grade when its professor, Fred Smith, first saw it, saying, "To get a C, it has to be feasible." Charles H. The New York Times denounced Goddard, saying, "Professor Goddard doesn't seem to understand the law of action and reaction. Does he not even understand such basic knowledge, which is taught even in high schools these days?"
In 1919, while a researcher at the Smithsonian Institution, Robert Goddard published a paper titled "A Method of Reaching Extreme Altitudes," in which he argued that rockets could operate in a vacuum (space) and reach the moon. The New York Times denounced Goddard, saying, "Professor Goddard doesn't seem to understand the law of action and reaction. Does he not even understand such basic knowledge, which is taught even in high schools these days?"
It wasn't until Apollo 11 landed on the moon in 1969 that the New York Times issued a vague correction, stating, "Further investigation and experimentation have confirmed Isaac Newton's 17th-century discovery, and it is now clearly established that rockets can operate in a vacuum as well as in the atmosphere. The Times regrets this error." Goddard died in 1945 and never received this apology. I couldn't.
The famous John Lennon once took the Beatles' recordings of their songs and performances to Decca Records. However, the record company refused, saying, "There's nothing I like about the sound or the guitar playing." Decca Records, the New York Times, Charles Duel of the Patent Office, Fred Smith, and Daewongun, who destroyed the Cheokhwabi—people like these are constantly obstructing humanity's progress.
