경기북부보훈지청 제대군인지원센터(센터장 이영환)가 제대군인의 새로운 진로 개척을 위한 드론 운영 실무특화 교육과정을 성공적으로 마무리했다.
센터는 21일 지난 9월부터 경복대학교 평생교육대학(경기 남양주)에서 진행한 드론 운영 실무특화 위탁교육과정이 종료됐으며, 참여한 교육생 10명 전원이 과정을 수료했다고 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 농업방제, 재난 대응, 산업현장 점검, 콘텐츠 촬영 등 다양한 분야에서 활용도가 빠르게 증가하고 있는 드론 산업에 제대군인의 진출을 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.
특히 드론 분야는 제대군인 대상 실무형 기술교육 중에서도 수요가 지속 확대되고 있는 유망 직종으로 주목받고 있다.
교육과정은 드론 비행기초부터 항공촬영, 실무비행, 지도·측량 기반 운용까지 드론 산업 현장에서 즉시 활용 가능한 실무 능력 강화에 초점을 맞춰 운영됐다.
그 결과, 교육생 9명이 초경량비행장치 무인멀티콥터 조종자 국가자격증(드론 1종 조종 자격)을 취득하는 성과를 거뒀다.
또한 전원이 항공촬영전문조종자 민간자격증을 획득하며 높은 자격증 취득률을 기록했다.
교육기관 관계자는 "이번 교육에 참여한 제대군인분들은 군 복무 경험을 바탕으로 높은 집중도와 책임감을 보여주셨다"며 "실기 중심 교육과정에 성실히 참여해 좋은 결과를 만들어낸 만큼, 앞으로 드론 산업현장에서 역할을 펼쳐가시길 기대한다"고 말했다.
교육에 참여한 한 수료생은 "전역 이후 새로운 진로를 선택하는 과정에서 실질적인 전문기술을 배울 수 있어 많은 도움이 됐다"며 제대군인지원센터와 교육기관에 감사의 뜻을 전했다.
