[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도가 가덕도 신공항 시대를 앞두고 부산·경남을 넘어 동북아 비즈니스 허브로 도약하기 위한 공격적인 경제자유구역(FEZ) 확대 전략을 밝혔다. 박완수 경남도지사는 기존 부산진해경제자유구역(BJFEZ) 강화는 물론, 서부권 독립 경제자유구역 설립까지 추진하며 지역 경제의 새로운 지도를 그리겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.
경남도는 26일 오후 신라스테이 서부산에서 열린 ‘부산진해경제자유구역(BJFEZ) 기업인의 날’ 행사에서 이러한 대규모 비전을 공식화했다.
박 지사는 이날 행사에 참석해 "부산·경남이 공동으로 운영하는 BJFEZ는 하늘길, 육로, 해운이 만나는 트라이포트(Tri-Port) 물류 플랫폼으로서 대한민국의 새로운 희망이 될 잠재력을 갖고 있다"고 강조하며, "경제자유구역을 세계적인 비즈니스·물류 중심지로 도약시키기 위해 규제 개선, 정주환경 강화, 첨단 물류 인프라 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"고 약속했다.
