파주시가 100만 자족도시를 향한 교통혁신의 구체적인 로드맵을 공개했다.
파주시는 지난 1일 시청 영상회의실에서 최병갑 부시장과 관련 분야 전문가들이 참석한 가운데 '파주시 모빌리티 개선계획 수립 용역' 중간보고회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 보고회에서는 '사람과 지역을 잇는 따뜻한 교통혁신'을 목표로 다양한 미래 모빌리티 도입 방안이 제시됐다.
주요 내용으로는 자율주행 자동차 단계별 이행안을 비롯해 도심항공교통(UAM) 도입 전략, 통합교통서비스(MaaS) 구축 방향 등이 포함됐다.
또한 수요응답형 버스(DRT)와 개인형 이동장치(PM)의 운영·관리 개선 방안, 모빌리티 기반시설 구축 방안, 모빌리티 인재 양성을 위한 교육 발전 특성화 전략 등도 함께 논의됐다.
이번 용역은 정부의 2027년 4단계 자율주행차 상용화, 2028년 도심항공교통 상용화 등 모빌리티 정책 흐름에 발맞춰 추진되고 있다.
파주시는 지역 특성과 교통 현안을 반영한 생활밀착형 서비스와 기반 시설 구축 방향을 제시하며, 내년 2월 최종 용역 결과를 도출할 계획이다.
