브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 전재수 해양수산부 장관이 최근 제기된 ‘한일터널’ 연루설과 통일교 측 금품수수 의혹에 대해 강하게 반박하며 “전혀 사실무근”이라고 밝혔다.
미국 출장 중인 전재수 장관은 현지에서 YTN과 가진 인터뷰에서 “근거 없는 주장에 불과하다”며 “귀국 후 국민들께 더 구체적으로 설명드릴 자리와 방식을 마련하겠다”고 말했다.
전 장관은 앞서 제기된 통일교 측 윤용호 씨 관련 불법 금품수수 의혹에 대해서도 “SNS에서도 말했듯 10원 한 장 받은 사실조차 없다”며 “개인적으로 매우 답답한 상황이지만 사실관계를 명확히 밝힐 것”이라고 강조했다.
그는 특히 자신의 이름이 거론된 ‘한일터널’ 연계 의혹과 관련해서도 “어떤 연관도 없다”며 통일교로부터 금품을 받았다는 주장 역시 “전혀 사실이 아니다”라고 거듭 주장했다.
거취 문제에 대해서는 “저는 국회의원이자 국무위원으로서 거취에 연연하지 않는다”며 “제기된 의혹들이 사실관계에 맞지 않기 때문에 오히려 명확한 반전이 있을 것”이라고 말했다.
전 장관은 귀국 후 추가 해명을 예고하며 향후 입장 표명과 설명 절차에 나설 계획이다.
