음성군 대소면에 소재한 ㈜동방푸드마스타는 양념, 향신료, 마리네이드 소스 등을 제조하는 식품 기업으로서 지역사회와 함께 성장하는 기업문화를 바탕으로 꾸준히 장학금 기탁하고 있다.
동방푸드마스타는 2019년부터 매년 1천만원씩 (재)음성군장학회에 기탁해 지금까지 누적 7천만 원의 장학금을 전달했으며, 지난해에는 대소장학회에도 500만 원의 장학금을 기탁했다.
기탁식에 참석한 김영환 ㈜동방푸드마스타 본부장은 “1991년 대소면으로 사옥을 이전한 이후 지역사회로부터 많은 도움을 받아왔고, 회사가 성장한 만큼 음성의 밝은 미래를 이끌어 갈 꿈나무들에게 투자하는 것이 바람직하다고 생각해 장학금 기탁을 이어오고 있다”고 기탁 취지를 밝혔다.
