브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 대우건설은 지난 12일 오전 소아암을 앓고 있는 환아들의 건강 회복을 지원하기 위해 임직원이 기부한 헌혈증을 전달했다고 18일 밝혔다.
대우건설이 헌혈증을 전달한 한국백혈병어린이재단은 19세 이하의 환아들의 치료와 사회 복귀를 위해 여러 분야를 적극적으로 지원하고 있다.
수혈 비용 경감에 도움이 되는 헌혈증 지원, 치료비, 조혈모세포 이식비용 등과 같은 경제적 지원 사업을 포함해 소아 환아들의 치료의지 향상, 학교복귀 지원 등 정서 지원, 보호자를 위한 치료, 간병, 적응을 돕는 교육 및 상담과 같은 정보 지원 사업 등 환아와 보호자의 원할한 치료와 사회 복귀를 돕는 사업을 운영하고 있다.
대우건설이 전달한 헌혈증 1004매는 임직원들이 자발적으로 참여해 모은 것으로, 이 헌혈증은 치료 과정에서 다량의 혈액 수혈이 필요한 소아암 환아들의 의료비 부담을 줄이고, 적시에 안정적인 치료를 받을 수 있도록 돕는 데 사용될 예정이다.
대우건설 관계자는 “이번 헌혈증 기부는 단순한 나눔을 넘어, 생명을 살리는 데 직접적으로 기여할 수 있다는 점에서 더욱 의미가 크다”며 “임직원들의 따뜻한 마음이 치료 과정에서 어려움을 겪는 환아들에게 작은 희망이 되기를 바라고, 대우건설은 앞으로도 지역사회와 취약계층을 위한 지속적이고 실질적인 사회공헌 활동을 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
