브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 손경식 CJ 그룹 회장이 2일 사내방송을 통해 “2026년 새해가 밝았다”며 “새로운 출발선 앞에 선 이 시점에서, 지난 한 해 각자의 자리에서 묵묵히 최선을 다해주신 모든 임직원 여러분께 진심으로 감사의 마음을 전한다”고 전했다.
손 회장은 “지난해 우리 그룹은 여러 사업에서 일부 성과가 있었지만 그룹 전체적으로 기대에 미치지 못하는 아쉬움이 남았다”며 “단기 성과 개선을 위한 한시적 대응만으로는 한계가 있었고, 중장기 경쟁력 강화와 미래 성장 기반 구축 측면에서 더 많은 준비가 필요함을 확인한 한 해였다”고 전했다.
이어 “그러나 이 어려움이 CJ의 한계를 의미하는 것은 결코 아니다”며 “오히려 불확실성 증대, 기존 성공방식의 한계 상황에서 우리가 다시 도약해야 할 당위성과 기회가 더욱 선명해졌다는 신호라 할 수 있다”고 설명했다.
손 회장은 “경영환경의 변화가 녹록치 않지만, 기회는 그 어느 때보다도 크게 열려 있다”며 “불확실성과 기회가 공존하는 지금이야말로 다시 한번 도약을 선언해야 할 결정적 시점이다”고 강조했다.
그러면서 이러한 기회랄 실질적인 성장으로 연결하기 위해 △작은 성공을 끝임없이 만들고 이를 조직 전체로 전파 △빠른 실행 △목표를 담대하게 설정하고 두려움 없이 도전 등 3가지를 당부했다.
손 회장은 “우리는 그룹의 미래를 결정짓는 절체절명의 순간에 서 있다”며 “2026년은 CJ가 다시 한번 도약을 준비하고 실행하는 해가 되어야 한다”고 전했다.
