울릉군은 국가 비상대비태세와 재난·안전 대응 역량을 평가하는 을지연습 시·군 평가에서 2023년 ‘장려’, 2024년 ‘우수’, 2025년 ‘최우수’ 등급을 연속으로 획득하며 안정적인 행정 시스템을 구축해 왔음을 다시 한 번 증명했다고 2일 밝혔다. 이는 평상시 행정 역량은 물론 위기 상황 대응 체계까지 균형 있게 관리해 온 결과로 평가된다.
울릉군에 따르면 독도 정책 분야에서도 의미 있는 성과가 이어졌다. 울릉군은 ‘독도평화대상’과 ‘삼일문화대상’을 잇따라 수상하며 독도 관리 강화와 영유권 공고화, 평화 가치 확산을 위한 정책 추진 성과를 공식적으로 인정받았다. 독도를 중심으로 한 역사·문화·평화 정책이 대외적으로 높은 평가를 받은 셈이다.
농업과 재정 분야의 성과도 두드러졌다. 농촌진흥청 주관 ‘농촌진흥사업 우수기관 특별상’ 수상을 통해 지역 농업 경쟁력 강화 노력이 성과로 이어졌으며, 경상북도 주관 ‘지방세정 종합평가’에서는 특별상을 수상해 재정 운영의 건전성과 행정 신뢰도를 동시에 입증했다.
