이번 캠페인은 강풍, 결빙 등 동절기 위험요인으로 인한 안전사고를 근절하기 위해 국토교통부와 대한건설협회가 추진하는 예방 대책의 일환이다. 이는 정부의 중대재해 예방 기조에 맞춰 민관이 함께 안전 문화 정착에 나섰다는 점에서 의미가 크다.
이날 현장을 찾은 박 대표는 암반 굴착 작업 등을 점검하고 근로자들에게 안전에 대한 적극적인 관심과 자발적인 참여를 독려했다.
박 대표는 연초 신년사를 통해 “중대재해 예방은 선택의 문제가 아니라 생존의 문제”라고 강조하며 전사적인 쇄신을 주문한 바 있다. DL이앤씨는 박 대표와 CSO(최고안전보건책임자) 등 주요 경영진을 중심으로 현장 점검을 강화하고 있으며, 지난해에만 650회 이상 현장 안전 점검을 진행했다.

또한, 현장 근로자들이 시야를 확보할 수 있도록 조명을 추가 설치해 조도를 개선했다. 중독·질식사고 예방을 위해 밀폐된 현장에 가스농도측정기를 배치해 산소, 이산화탄소, 황화수소 등의 데이터도 지속적으로 모니터링한다.
