【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단 구수산도서관이 문화체육관광부가 주최한 ‘2025년 길 위의 인문학’ 사업에서 우수 운영기관으로 선정돼 문화체육관광부 장관상을 받았다.
13일 구수산도서관에 따르면, 이번 사업엔 전국 700여 개 기관이 참여했으며, 이 중에서 우수 운영기관으로 뽑힌 곳은 단 5곳에 불과하다. 구수산도서관은 사업의 지속성과 프로그램의 완성도를 높이 평가받아 수상 명단에 이름을 올렸다.
‘길 위의 인문학’은 도서관과 문화시설을 지역 거점으로 삼아 시민의 일상에 인문적 가치를 넓히기 위해 진행되는 문화체육관광부의 대표 인문 프로그램이다. 매년 전국의 공공도서관과 문화시설이 강연과 체험, 탐방 등 다양한 인문 활동을 펼치고 있다.
구수산도서관은 2023년부터 2025년까지 3년 연속으로 이 사업에 선정되며 ‘책을 둘러싼 세계’를 대주제로 중장기 인문 프로그램을 꾸준히 이어왔다. 단순한 일회성 강연에 그치지 않고, 해마다 주제를 넓히고 심화시켜 지역 주민의 인문적 성찰을 쌓을 수 있도록 한 점이 높은 평가를 받았다.
특히 지난 해에는 ‘읽히는 이야기와 글쓰기로 먹고 사는 사람들’을 주제로, 편집자·서점 운영자·작가 등 출판 현장에서 활동하는 인사를 직접 초청해 강연과 대화 프로그램을 마련했다. 장르별 글쓰기 전문가의 강연과 실습을 접목한 실무형·체험형 인문 프로그램으로 총 459명이 참여했다.
심사 과정에서는 3년 연속 선정에 따른 프로그램의 연속성과 완성도, 출판 현장과 연결된 실질적 인문 활동, 그리고 지역 주민의 적극적인 참여와 확산 가능성 등이 모범사례로 인정받은 것으로 알려졌다.
구수산도서관 관계자는 "이번 수상은 책을 사랑하는 주민들과 함께 인문적 가치를 나누기 위해 이어온 노력이 인정받은 결과"라며, "앞으로도 다양한 지역 출판사, 서점과의 협업, 청소년 인문 프로그램 등 연계 사업도 확대해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
도서관 측은 앞으로도 주민의 인문 소양을 높이고 지역 문화 커뮤니티를 강화하는 데 힘쓸 계획이다.

The Gususan Library has been selected for this program for three consecutive years, from 2023 to 2025, and has consistently implemented mid- to long-term humanities programs under the theme of "The World Surrounding Books." The program received high praise for expanding and deepening its topics each year, fostering a humanistic reflection among local residents, rather than simply offering one-time lectures.
Last year, the program focused on the theme, "People Who Make a Living Through Reading Stories and Writing," inviting editors, bookstore owners, and writers to participate in a lecture and dialogue program. This hands-on, hands-on program, combining lectures by genre-specific writing experts with hands-on practice, attracted a total of 459 participants.
The evaluation process recognized the program's continuity and completeness, which reflects its three consecutive years of selection, its practical humanities activities linked to the publishing industry, and its potential for active participation and expansion by local residents.
A representative from Gususan Library stated, "This award is recognition of our ongoing efforts to share humanistic values with book-loving residents. We will continue to expand our collaborative projects, including collaborations with diverse local publishers and bookstores, and youth humanities programs."
The library plans to continue to work to enhance the humanities knowledge of residents and strengthen the local cultural community.
