20일 양구군에 따르면, 올해 채소와 화훼 등 원예 분야 발전을 위해 국·도비를 포함한 총 45억 3,400만 원의 사업비를 투입해 16개 핵심 사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다. 이번 사업은 ▲국·도비 지원사업 ▲기술보급 사업 ▲시책 및 자체 사업 등 3개 분야로 나뉘어 체계적으로 진행된다.
가장 눈에 띄는 대목은 기후 변화에 대응한 시설 현대화다. 군은 16억 4,200만 원을 투입해 비닐하우스 현대화 사업을 추진하며, 이상기후 대비 환경조절 시스템 구축과 노후 비닐 교체 등을 통해 고품질 농산물 생산 기반을 확충할 계획이다.
또한, 자연재해로 인한 농가 피해를 최소화하기 위해 5억 원 규모의 ‘농작물 재해보험 지원’ 사업을 실시, 농가의 보험료 부담을 대폭 완화한다.
미래 먹거리 발굴을 위한 ‘기술보급 사업’도 활발히 전격 추진된다. 군은 고랭지 딸기 육묘 생산기술 시범 사업을 통해 관내에 무병 종묘 보급 단지를 구축하고, 이를 단기 고소득 작목으로 육성해 농가 수익 구조를 다변화할 방침이다.
