고양경찰서가 수사권 조정 5년을 맞아 경찰 수사의 완결성과 책임성을 높이기 위한 전 수사부서 토론회를 개최했다.
고양경찰서는 지난 19일 오전 10시 ▲인사·교육·사건 관리로 경찰 수사 완결성 강화 ▲수사지휘를 통한 책임성 확립 ▲수사 역량 강화를 통한 경찰 수사 신뢰 제고 방향에 대한 토론회를 열었다고 밝혔다.
이날 토론회에는 박범정 경찰서장을 비롯해 각 수사부서 과장과 팀장들이 참석했으며, 국민이 신뢰할 수 있는 수사 체계 확립을 위한 주요 관리 강화 방안이 집중적으로 논의됐다.
먼저 과·팀장 자격제 요건 준수와 수사관의 실무교육 참여 독려를 통한 수사 역량 강화 방안이 공유됐다.
또한 상시 운영 중인 사건 집중관리 TF회의를 통해 검사의 요구·요청 비율을 감소시켜 수사 완결성을 확보하기로 했다.
수사지휘 강화를 위해 사건의 단계별 보고 및 관리를 통한 관서장 수사 지휘권 강화, 과장의 적극적인 지시 강조, 팀장 중심 수사체제 실현으로 책임수사 체계를 확립하기로 했다.
수사 인력 충원 및 장비 지원과 체계적인 사건 관리를 통해 장기사건 비율을 개선하고 수사의 신속성을 향상시켜 경찰 수사의 신뢰성을 제고하기로 뜻을 모았다.
박범정 고양경찰서장은 "이번 토론회를 통해 수사의 완결성과 책임성을 한층 더 높이고, 절차적 신뢰를 강화하는 계기가 됐다"며 "앞으로도 체계적인 사건 관리와 현장 중심의 수사지휘를 통해 시민이 신뢰하는 경찰이 되도록 노력하겠다"고 밝혔다.
