이번 사업은 겨울철 추위에 특히 취약한 가구들이 안전하고 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있도록 마련됐다. 협의체 위원들은 대상 가정을 가가호호 방문해 극세사이불과 건강죽 등이 담긴 꾸러미를 직접 전달하며, 어르신들의 건강 상태와 안부를 확인하는 등 정서적 지지 활동도 병행했다.
이정열 위원장은 “작은 정성이지만 어르신들이 매서운 추위를 이겨내시는 데 조금이나마 보탬이 되길 바란다”며 “올 한 해도 복지 사각지대 해소를 위해 발로 뛰는 협의체가 되겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
강성수 호원1동장은 “추운 날씨에도 이웃 사랑 실천에 앞장서 주신 위원들께 깊이 감사드린다”며 “행정에서도 취약계층의 겨울철 생활 안정을 위해 세심한 살핌을 이어가겠다”고 전했다.
